Spring had come back to Goyang. The flowers were blooming and the air was refreshing. There were so many colors in the city, Goyang looked like a painting.
Solmi, on her part, was in her bedroom. She was filling up a cardboard box with personal items. It was almost full, but she found enough space to throw one last thing.
"Finally done." She stated, looking at all the boxes in her room.
She was saddened to see her room so empty. She remembered when her father had announced that they were moving. Solmi was completely against it, staying angry at her father for a long time. And for a few months, she had forgotten about the move, mostly because of Jaebum. But now, the emptiness of her room, of the whole house was proof that this was the end of her time in Goyang.
She could hear her parents talking and then...a voice, her father's. His figure was in the doorframe.
"Solmi, you should go say your goodbyes, we're leaving soon." He had said with a tone of finality.
She felt a shiver down her spine and nodded to herself.
"Yeah...I'll do that."
She walked by her father and exited the family home. Solmi was heading towards Chaehwan's house. She knocked on the door and was met by her friend's smile. Chaehwan let her in and poured some tea for both of them.
"Solmi!" She hugged her. "Today is the day?" Chaehwan asked with a sad smile.
"Yeah, it's the day."
She looked around her friend's house, sipping on the tea.
"Aw, Solmi-ah, don't be sad. I'll come visit you as many times as I can! So many times that you're going to be tired of seeing my face!"
That got a small laugh out of Solmi. "I'll try to come back to Goyang too!"
"I know you will, girl. Now go, I know you got someone else to see."
They exchanged a few more words, till both of them were cry-laughing.
What would I do without you, Chaehwan, she wondered.
She was sad about how short their conversation was, but she knew Chaehwan would probably call her everyday anyways.
They were now standing in the hallway with grins on their faces.
"See you, girl." Chaehwan winked.
After a long and emotional hug, the two girls parted. Solmi waved one last time and headed down the street while Chaehwan yelled her name playfully.
"BYEEE SOLMIIIII!"
"BYEEEEE!"

It's been four months since Solmi's confession to Jaebum and now she was walking to his house to say goodbye.
When she arrived, Jaebum was waiting on his porch. He was sat on the steps with his chin propped on his palm which was propped on his knee.
"Yo." He smirked.
"How did you know that I was coming?"
"Chaehwan called the house. She insisted I be outside when you got here."
"Ha, she knows me too well."
Solmi joined him on the stairs and Jaebum kissed her on the cheek.
"How are you?"
