Now there aren't many Higurashi Fanfics despite it being one of the most well-known anime of all time. This one-shot will be featuring Keiichi Maebara, the Magician of Words.

(Y/N) skimmed through her wardrobe in search of an outfit for the club meeting. It's been two hours and she still had not made up her mind. To make her job easier she separated her inventory into two piles the 'worthy' and the 'unworthy'. Worthy of whom, you may ask. Why of Keiichi Maebara, of course.

The (H/C) haired girl had fallen for the boy during the one year they had so far spent together. At first, she was just intrigued by the brunette who had arrived from the city. Later on, she became infatuated and soon after, in love. 

She finally chose a simple cute outfit which was fit for any physical activities such as running. Just as she chose it, she heard her mother shout from below. "(Y/N)! Are you done yet?! You're gonna be late at this rate!" Her mom yelled. 

"Coming, just let me touch up my make up" She shouted back.

"For the love of god! How much more time do you need to get me a son-in-law?!" (Y/N)'s mother shouted causing her to blush red in embarrassment."M-MOM" The (E/C) eyed girl whined before taking out the bracelet gifted to her by Keiichi and putting it on.

Suddenly, the bell rang. There was a few shuffling and muffled talking from below before (Y/N) heard her mother's calls again."(Y/N)! Keiichi's here so get your lazy butt down here!". The girl's face was scarlet. Honestly, her mom will never give her a damn break.

Without another word being said or heard, the girl moved out of her room and down the stairs only to be greeted by Keiichi's adorable grin at the bottom of the stairs."Lose the grin, Maebara" (Y/N) snarled. "Well, I can't help it" he smirked, "Since when were you the late one".

"Don't get any ideas, Maebaka." she huffed "Unlike you...I woke up early". 

"Then what happened?" The boy wiggled his eyebrows.

"Anime" She muttered softly.

"Well, anyway let's get going...(N/N)~" He smirked offering his arm.

The girl didn't allow him to take her arm and instead pushed him out of the house. She did this because she didn't want him to see her mom who was silently fangirling over them.(I wish my mom was like this. JK (^_-)-☆ I love her the way she is)

A couple minutes after...

Reader's P.O.V

For today's club activities, we were playing a game of zombie tag in the woods. Trust me. IT. WAS.TERRIFYING.The Sonazaki twins and I decided to form an alliance in the game. We Are currently hiding behind a wild thick hedge.

"Shh...someone's coming" Mion shushed us. Sure enough, footsteps were heard. I quickly peeked to see who it was."It's Rena" I whispered. The blue eyes of the girl glinted dangerously in the dark like a predator hunting its prey. Her hands swayed by her sides as she smiled in the creepiest way.

"Come out...come out...wherever you are~" she sang.

However, we didn't come out. Nope. We were too lazy to start running again. Rena stopped and glared in our direction making us gasp. "I'm talking to you guys," She said. However, that was not what made us scream. It was Keiichi who ambushed us from behind.

We were cornered.Panic coursed through my veins as I frantically tried to come up with a solution. The three of us backed away from the duo slowly. Finally, I came up with an idea which I found out to be the only way out of this situation.
