(Y/N) was a model student, daughter, and citizen.She had one problem, whatsoever.She was competitive.Really competitive.Her aim was to be the best of the best.This attitude was a major put off for those around her.

People usually think she is another sweet girl but when they get close to her.The truth hits them as hard as a brick wall.Well, now we know why she is single.This attitude makes her make rash decisions.For example, challenging Light Yagami.

When she took the entrance exam for Toh Oh university, she believed that she would be at the top.So she was devastated to know that TWO not one but two students had defeated her.Ryuga Hideki and Light Yagami.

She first challenged the black haired genius who talked to her about statics and probability making her flabbergasted.She then approached the so-called-perfect brunette.Let's just say that Light was very confused by her declaration.

Reader's P.O.V

I hunted for my victim during the break.I searched every nook and corner until I had finally found him. He was just sitting in the library with a book opened in front of him. However, he wasn't reading it. His face was resting in his hand as he gazed into empty space as if he was lost in his own thoughts.

Well, it's not like I care.I slammed my hand on the table causing him to snap out.He scowled at me to scare me away.Like that would work."Well, well, well, Yagami-san.I have been looking for you." you said with a smirk.

"Don't you know you have to be silent in the library?" he said annoyed.

"It's okay if you don't disturb anyone"You whispered and sat next to him.

"Well, you are disturbing me" he snapped.

"Silence" The librarian scolded him as you snickered softly in the background.When the librarian left, he glared at you as you just rolled your eyes playfully.

"Whatever, I will just state my business and leave," you said.

"Please do," He said as he massaged his temples.

You smirked and brought my face closer to his.His eyes widened and a tint of pink appeared on his cheeks."I want you to know" you said."...that you are my rival".

His reaction was rather amusing.The pink shade on his face disappeared and he had this 'wth' look on his face.I smirked at my rival.

"So, therefore Light Yagami prepare for a number of challenges with yours truly.Let's see who will be the best among us.If you accept my challenge then come meet me after college and if you don't then you are a wuss" I said before flipping my hair and leaving him with his mouth open.Just you watch, Mr.oh-I-am-so-perfect.I will defeat you.

Light P.O.V.

"Who is that human girl? She is so interesting." I heard Ryuk say as I watched the retreating figure of the girl.She seemed familiar.Wait, now I remember, her name is (Y/N) (L/N).

Rival, huh? What makes her think she is worthy of being MY rival.As much as I wanted to eliminate her for her arrogant behavior to the god of the new world, I decided against it.I will entertain her for now as she is rather harmless and it would be fun to see her cry after her miserable defeat.

Third Person P.O.V.

Challenge #1-speed writing

"Okay, then I had a student to write a topic on each of these chips of paper and then mix them up in a pile.When you hear the buzz you should take a chip and write about the topic given.In this challenge, the person has to write three pages on the topic.The person who finishes first is the winner.Remember to fill both sides of the paper." the (H/C) colored haired girl explained.
