Once I used to cover my ears,
hide under the table with fear,
and sometimes let free a tear.
I was being afraid of the storm,
raw power in its purest form.I sat away in the farthest corner,
getting lost in all the darkness.
Scared, I knew myself a runner.
In everything could only see madness.
From time to time, I tried to escape.
But now I know it's time to reshape.I've learned from the eye of the storm,
there are worst things to be afraid of.
I learned so I could stand on my own feet,
learned to stand tall without help of heels. You can't steal my sleep,
my breath, nor my bold from me.
Cause I've seen the eye of the thunder.
To me you are standing under.I'll hold tight to the lightning,
without twice thinking,
shine in the darkest hour;
Sweet above the sour.
Holding tight to my power.I used to cover my ears,
hide anywhere with fear.
Hear the crack in the rain.
I was afraid of the storm,
actually afraid of my true form.

Pendulum
PoetryTo me, Pendulum, my first collection of original poems, was a journey into myself. The pathway to self-discovery, emotional liberation, introspection and empowerment. Most importantly, I learned to understand better the concept of loving oneself.
