Chapter 6-its flying by so fast

Maddie's POV

the week flew by so fast I didn't realize it. I'm now in the last lesson of the day and it's Friday. Quirrel is so stupid. He knows nothing about DADA absolutely nothing! All He teaches us about is his stupid chameleon! That's all that he's gone on about all week. This is absolute rubbish. I then got Pulled out of my own little world by Quirrel saying my name again,"ms. G-G-Gaunt?" I sneer,"what do you want?" He looks kind of frightened, he then says,"I asked you: what c-c-color does my chameleon t-t-t-t-turn into when it's a full moon?" I answer with,"how the hell am I supposed to know? And quite frankly I. Don't. Give. A. Crap." Quirrel looks at me and replies without stuttering,"I will not accept that tone or that language in this class. You will answer my question."I sneer,"why the hell is all you talk about is that damned chameleon of yours? Do you like have a thing with it? Hmm that could make front page: Hogwarts new defense against the dark arts teacher has a love affair with his chameleon. Rita skeeter is bound to find out about this. Well since we all know that you're getting it on with that bloody lizard of yours why don't you dismiss us and have some quality time with that lizard." Quirrel then says,"get out, just get out! I will not tolerate this! You have detention tonight! And the next time you come in I expect a better attitude!" I stare at him then I make a snide remark,"what you expect and what you get are two totally different things." Dracos sitting next to me and bursts out laughing. I then pack the rest of my stuff and walk out. I head up to the common room and dump my stuff off in my dormitory. When I go back down to the common room everybody is just walking into the common room. I pass everybody and head all the way Down to the great hall. When I get down there I make my way to the gryffindor table. But then Draco, Pansy, Blaise, and Theo wave me over. I walk over there and say,"hey." Then I sit down across from them. I then say,"what's up?" Draco says,"nothing." I say,"then why did you call me over here?" Blaise says,"we thought you would want to sit over with us." I say,"I'm really sorry but today I want to sit at the gryffindor table. Sorry guys." Teddy says,"that's okay we just wanted to-" he then stops and looks behind my shoulder. I turn around and none other than Charles Shinto is there. I say,"yes?" He looks at me and says,"aren't you in gryffindor?" I reply,"yeah I am but these guys are some of my friends too." He nods and then says,"do you wanna sit by me and my friends at the ravenclaw table for dinner tonight?" I say,"sure but I have detention tonight with Quirrel." Charles goes,"okay tell me about it at the ravenclaw table." He then grabs my hand and walks over to the ravenclaw table with me and has me sit down next to him. I say,"can I call you Charlie?" He goes," sure." Then says,"okay guys this is Maddie gaunt. Maddie, this is Toby,(a guy with black hair and brown eyes smiles and waves his hand at me), this is Drew,Toby's twin brother(an identical guy with black hair and brown eyes sends the same smile at me and waves), this is Conner(guy with blond hair and bright blue eyes smiles a dazzling smile and says hey), then this is Collin(guy with brown hair and green eyes smiles and says the one and only)"I laugh and say,"nice to meet you guys!" Then food appears and we start talking about the most randomest stuff ever like our favorite drink and color and stuff like that. When dinners over C stands up and offers his hand to help me up. I grab it and stand up he doesn't let go and leads me to the entrance hall. He stops and looks down at me then says,"that was fun tonight can we do it again sometime?" I say,"of course we can!" Then I give all five of them a hug and wave then walk away up to quirrels office. I Get up there and knock on the door then walk in. He's sitting at his desk. I look at him and he looks at me. He's says," today you'll be writing lines and they'll say I will not disrespect the teacher." I glare at him and take out my quill and ink he says,"you won't be needing that I have a special quill for you." I take one look at the quill at realize its kind of like a blood quill but it's worse. Instead of the words engraving into your skin on the back of your hand the words engrave into your side and they engrave much faster. I stare at him disgusted and sit down and start writing the lines: I will not disrespect the teacher, over and over again and on the fifth line I could already feel drops of blood trickling Down my side. I've forced myself to use this before In case I ever had to do this kind of work at school. I've mastered to never make a sound no matter how many lines. By the time I got to the 50th line Quirrel stands up and looks angrily at me and says,"why aren't you making any noise?" I say,"it doesn't hurt me very much." He looks at me angrily and says,"let me see how well it's sunk in." I lift up my shirt to see blood running down my side in droplets. He looks at it then says,"you may go." I leave and walk down the hall quickly and basically run all the way to the common room. When I get in there I see Fred and George. They say,"what's wrong?" I lift up the side of my shirt and show them the writing. Fred and George gasp,"what the hell?? This isnt punishment this is torture!" I say,"yeah i know that. But that isn't going to solve my issues with it healing now let me go get my stuff." I walk up the stairs clutching my side and get my potions stuff. Since I reviewed all of this at the malfoy manor this is one of the many potions that I memorized. I go back downstairs with all the right ingredients and dump everything in. I then start to cook. Fred asks,"how come you're not balling your eyes out? That must be really painful." I replied,"it is but at the malfoy manor over the summer I studied this and made myself not cry or show any emotion. Cuz if a teacher sees you're hurting they're most likely gonna give you more of that to do. Like when I was in quirrels I showed no emotion and made no sound. So he only gave me 50 cuz he got mad that I was showing no emotion. Now if I showed emotion he probably would've gave me a hundred or a hundred-fifty." Fred looks awestruck and says,"that's bloody genius!" I nod and I realize that my potions done. I take out the potion and put it into a bowl. I then get a strip of cloth and dip it into the potion remedy. I then wrap the cloth around my side. I get a larger piece of cloth and wrap that around my whole torso tightly. I already feel some of the pain going away. I say,"the writing should be gone and healed up by morning." Fred and George instantly look relieved then we sat on the couch in our normal position with Fred's arm around my shoulders George's arm around my waist and my arms rested on their waists. We stare into the fire for a while and then i start to get sleepy. I say,"how bout we get lee and zan down here and let's have a sleepover!" Fred and George say,"that's a brilliant idea!" We sneak up to Fred and George's dormitory and I turn into my liger and pounce onto lee. He jumps out of bed and screams. Then he takes out his wand and points it at me. I turn back into my human form and start laughing. He glares at me and says,"what do you want?" I say,"me, Fred, and George are having a sleepover in the common room and you and zan are invited." He nods and starts getting blankets and stuff while Fred and George are doing the same. I say,"meet me And zan down there in 10 minutes. They all nod. I then go to the girls dormitory and see Zans up reading her book I say,"zan, me, Fred, George, and lee are having a sleepover in the common room and you're invited. She yells,"really really? OMG of course I'll come!" I laugh and say,"okay we have to meet the boys down there in 5 minutes." She nods and gets ready to go down to the common room. I start to get all ready too. Soon we walk down to the common room and get ready for the sleepover. The boys come down a minute later and we all put fluffy blankets down and talk for a while. Then we fall asleep I wake up the next day to see everybody else sleeping. I wake zan up and say,"do you wanna pull a massive prank on the boys? She whispers,"oh my god yes of course I do!" So I head upstairs to the boys' dormitory then I pull put a clear liquid in a bottle then I put a drop on each of the boys sheets. Zan asks,"what does that do?" I say,"this my friend is my latest pranking equipment. If you add a drop to anything it will turn the first skin it touches to whatever mood there in, it also spreads so their whole skin is that color. So it's basically a mood liquid. But the trick is that the can't see it when it's on the sheets and they can't see the colors on themselves either until someone tells them why everybody's laughing at them. It is also unwashable unless you know the right spell which only i know and it stays on for a whole week." Zan replies with,"you're a genius!" I say,"thank you, but this is only the first part of the prank. We'll also go downstairs and pour freezing cold water onto them. But before we'll take all of the blankets off of them so their not to warm when we pour the water onto them." She smiles and says,"let's go." We run downstairs and get 3 buckets of freezing cold water and use the hover charm to place the buckets over their bodies. We then took all the blankets away. Then we tipped the buckets over their bodies, they all jump up and stare at me and zan while we're laughing. Then lee turns on his heels and run up the stairs, i hear him turn on the shower. Fred says,"now that wasn't so nice now, was it?" George says,"yes, I don't think that was very nice at all. I think our little friend Maddie here needs payback." "Right you are George." Says Fred. I say,"what about Zan?" Fred says,"I'm sure that you made her help you." I yell,"no way!!!!! I can't believe you guys!!" They grin at me evilly them the start running at me. I turn around and take off out the portrait hole I run down all the stairs and run into the great hall. I turn My head to look where they are and I see they're way behind me. I the run around the slytherin table and see Draco sitting there staring at what's going on I stop by him long enough to tell him to follow me and keep running. He gets up follows after me. We've trained together to Be In shape for when my dad rises again so we are both fit and we run about the same speed. Since i know that Fred and George are Terrible climbers and that me and Draco are awesome climbers I take off towards the forbidden forest I then tell Draco,"climb up the tree that's next to the one I climb, okay?" He looks at me and says,"okay." We keep running and I run up the tree i was staring and start to climb. I see Draco do the same thing. When We're about 20 feet up in the air I stop. Draco stops and I climb over to him and rest my head on his shoulder. Man I'm so tired. He looks down at me and says,"what the hell was that for?" I say,"I played a prank on Fred, George, and lee and now the twins are coming for me but they suck at climbing so by the time that they reach where we are we'll be three trees over." He says,"wow I can't believe you did that." I said," yeah, but that's not the best part. When they go to sleep tonight they'll be a strange color tomorrow. Whatever mood there in they'll turn that color. Because I made Some wicked potion that is like mood liquid. It's colorless and odorless." He goes,"that's amazing." I agree then look down and see Fred and George finally coming. I yell,"what took you guys so long?" Fred replies,"if you weren't so damn fast we might've been able to catch you." I laugh and say,"didn't I tell you that me and Draco have been training together?" George yells,"no! And that's no fair. You can't do that to us!" I say,"I will and did." I then tell Draco,"let's go down now." He nods, then we start climbing down the tree. I ask him, as we're climbing down the tree, am I still having a sleepover with you guys tonight?" Draco says,"if you want to." I scream,"YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He looks at me and says," scream my ear off much?" I roll my eyes and jump the last 10-15 feet. I look down as I'm falling and see Fred and George running to catch me. Before I almost hit the ground Fred and George catch me. They look at me and Fred says,"next time be careful and don't fall!" I stare at them and say,"I didn't fall I jumped!" They put me down and George says,"you're crazy!" I agree with them and then I turn around and see Draco land. We look at each other and laugh like crazy I say,"you look hilarious!"he had twigs and leaves all over in his hair. He then Says to me,"you don't look so good either, you're always hot but with those twigs and leaves in your hair makes you look kinda scary lookin." I tell him,"thanks A lot." Then tell all of them that we should go back to the castle to eat breakfast. As we walk up I tell them that I'm gonna sit with Draco. They nod their heads and we keep walking. We finally get up to the great hall and see that breakfast is over. Fred and George tell me that they're gonna go back up to the common room and I say,"okay imma go with Draco." They nod and start up the staircases. I the start going down towards the kitchens and Draco says,"where are you going?" I say,"I'm going to go to the kitchens to get food." He stares at me and says,"you know where the kitchens are?" I look at him and say,"of course I do!" We then start walking again towards the kitchens. I get to the giant tapestry of fruit. I tickle the pear and wait for the doorknob to appear. I take the doorknob and open the door, I hold it open for Draco and we both walk in. I see house elves running around everywhere. I sit down at a table and wait for them to come over to me. I then see a houself come over and recognize it as Dolly. Dolly says,"what can I get miss Gaunt and mister Malfoy?" I say,"Dolly, can you get me and Draco some breakfast please?" Dolly replies,"yes miss of course!" She walks away. Then Draco says,"how come she knows my name?" I say,"well I talk about you a lot." Draco goes wide-eyed and says,"why do you talk about me?" I then think, oh crap, I said that didn't I? I hope he doesn't think anything. I reply with,"dolly likes to hear about an actual wizards life and I take the time to tell her. And most of my childhood has you in it so naturally I talk about you a lot." Draco's face looks a little sad then he covers it up quickly. Dolly comes back with some breakfast, I thank her and then me and Draco start eating. We get done eating and leave the kitchens. I say,"do you want to go sit by the black lake?" Draco smiles says,"yeah, sure." His smile is just so adorable! Wait, what am I thinking? He's like my brother! I can't like him!! After I get done with my arguing to myself. we get to the black lake and talk for the rest of the day.
