"You are the chosen one". I woke up from a terrifying dream and it was 7 am. It's the same dream I've been having for a year now- it always starts the same and ends the same- me being terrified. I would always be in a forest were all the leaves were malachite green and it smelted like nature. When I moved, the forest would spring to life; the birds, insects and other little creatures moved towards me and surrounded me. Then all of a sudden the tress moved together like it was protecting the woods from an incoming attack. I wouldn't get the earthly smell was replaced by a smell of something unpleasant. With whispers sounding in my ears that I was the chosen one.
I quickly got ready for school even though I didn't want to go there, the courses I was taking in sixth form is really difficult so I have to be there everyday. I looked at myself in the mirror to do my hair and I tied it into a messy bun. I have long red hair that seems to show shades of ginger when it's sunny. My brown eyes sparkles in the sunlight and I always feel like I am drawn to the sun somehow but Jessica- my aunty who I lived with always thought I was out of my mind. I am not what people would call stunning but over my seventeen years of life, I do get times when I am called pretty. People also comments on how my height suited me perfectly- not too short and not too tall. my aunty always say I look like my mother when she was my age.
My parents died in a mysterious car accident, at least that's what my aunty told me happened- I was only two. I couldn't remember much about my parents and every time i brought them up, Jessica always changed the subject making me feel like she's hiding something from me. Something big. I never really pushed her for information because she is the best substitute parent I could ever ask for. she is in her mid-thirties, short brown hair and burgundy eyes. she works half 6 to 4pm on weekdays. Jessica is really affectionate, she helps me whenever I ask for help and overall, we were rally close. However, I'm always home alone because she does evening lessons at Sumner university; she's going for her masters.
Looking at the time, it was 8 already, so I rushed outside to catch the bus to school- Sumner sixth form. Sumner is a very small town in England, it is calm and quite. It has just two public libraries, a primary and secondary school; a sixth form and a university. It isn't a very exciting town and not very populated but it is where I call home and I won't have it any other way.
"Hey girl!" I turned around to find my best friend- Wendy. She is my "fashion helper" as she would like to call herself and that's only because she is really into fashion- she talks about Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney all the time. Today she is wearing a really cute skinny jeans that fits her slim figure perfectly and a shirt saying "come and get it" She has really bright blonde hair that reflects her personality; she is a very enthusiastic person and always have something to say about everything.
"Trainers on that shorts. Really?" she looked at me disapprovingly. I was wearing shorts today because it was really warm and sunny for a September day.
" I always wear trainers, I told you before, its what i feel comfortable in " I said
" Whatever! anyway gossip says that a really hot guy is coming to our school today" she said excitedly.
"And by gossip you mean...?"
"Tori of course!" Tori is the school gossip and she knows everything before it happens and she knew lots of secrets about lots of people- which she can't seem to keep to herself.
"Seriously? You two didn't bother to call me all summer? Not even a text!" I turned around to see mark Jenkins- our other friend coming towards us. Mark went to Spain for the holidays and you could see the tan lines on his arms. He moved a piece of hair from his green eyes, he always messes with his long hair and even more when he is nervous. He's quite good looking in a geeky way but the girls didn't notice him around here; they were more forced on boys that played football or basketball, not guys that were smart and obsessed with doctor who like Mark.
'How was your holiday?" I asked, giving him a hug
"It was great! I literally went to the beach everyday......... Wendy are you even listening to me?" We turned around to see what got Wendy speechless (which was rare) and what I saw left me speechless.
It was a new student. He was tall and devastatingly stunning. His eyes glittered as the sun reflected on them, he looked around sharply like a hawk. Then he moved. He walked with authority like he is more dominant and influential than any other person. His shirt rippled as he moved showing his incredibly muscular bicep. Then for what felt like forever, he looked at me and his face flashed with recognition.
