I'm sorry I haven't updated in awhile but my brother just got out of the army in his base in El Paso Texas and I have just been spending time with him I had a dance Friday, a tournament saturday which I won⚾️⚾️then Sunday we all went to Zilker park anyways how have you been what have you been up to -✖Journey✖

Chapter 14

Aspens POV

I was peacefully sleeping in my wonderful comfy bed, when my phone started shrieking out 'mmm yeah' by Austin Mahone I looked over and it was a number I didn't recognize I let it go to voice mail.

About 10 minutes later my phone flashed and there was a voice mail from the unknown number that had called me

I unlocked my phone and listened to the message

'miss Lynch this is Patricia calling from limelive hospital in pooler, GA I am just calling to inform you that your brothers and mother have just been in a car wreck

we know your father very well and we are sending them home with him in a few hours if you would like us to send someone to pick you and you sister up please give me a call back'

only a few words rang in my ear

' your brothers and mother have been in a car wreck'

it felt like something was sitting on my chest I couldn't breathe

I heard my heartbeat in my ears and I felt the adrenaline pumping through my veins

honestly it felt like I was going to explode

then suddenly my mouth hurt I licked my gums and I felt sharp canines replace my other ones then I felt inside my mouth and they were gone huh it just must be the fear playing tricks on me.

I called the lady back and went and woke up Tess and told her everything that happened,

no more than 10 minutes later I saw a black and blue mustang XT pull up into the Rocky drive way. The one person I thought I would never see again jumped out of the car and waited

I dragged Tess out of the house and out to dad, I jumped into his arms his strong embrace wrapped around me like a comfortable security blanket

I cried into his chest I mean believe me I was mad at him because of what he did but I didn't hate him only because I didn't hear his side of the story

"I missed you so much daddy don't ever leave again" I mumbled into his chest he replied with a small "never again baby girl."

I heard shuffling feet behind me and quickly remembered Tess, I walked to her and smiled "daddy this is your other little girl Tesslyn aka Tess" his smile got bigger, if that were even possible he knelt down to Tess's level

" well hi honey haven't you gotten big, oh where are my manners, I'm your dad,but princess you can call me Jake that is just fine with me" a smiled spread across Tess's face as she jumped into his arm just like I did.

After hugs we all piled into his mustang and sped off towards what I guessed was the direction of the hospital.

After what seemed like an eternity we finally got to the hospital I jumped out not even waiting for my sister and dad I ran to the front desk " Margaret Adams please" I said in the most kind voice I could muster, she clicked a few keys on her keyboard "room 307"

I smiled and said thank you I ran to the elevator pressed the button that had the number 3 on it, the doors closed and I realized that I was in an elevator I dropped to the floor and hugged my knees tightly to my chest, I was terrified of elevators,

no that's an understatement I felt my eyes burn as hot tears streamed down my face.

When the elevator shuttered to a stop I quickly jumped up and ran out maybe a little to quick and my knees fell out from under me, right before I hit the ground I shut my eyes waiting to hit the hard ground but that's not what happened.
