The fated forest

The lion.

Lily's pov

Exploring the forest as I do everyday in my tiger form, I ran and ran until I caught the scent of something that I've never smelt before.

It was somewhat familiar but at the same time there was a strange minty but refreshing flavour to it...

Hmm.. i wonder what it is? Ohhh well I'll just go find out.

Silently stealing closer towards where the scent was coming from, I ended up by the lake where I usual go to catch some fishies. I smile at the thought of catching some fishies for a snack but snap out of it when I hear a low growl.

I snap my head towards the sound and see one of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen infront of me. There was a massive fully grown lion in front of the lake and her was at least 3 times bigger than me in my tiger form! I've never seen a lion before, but I've seen them in the books sang gave me about different animal species.

They are so much cooler than I thought! Maybe it'll let me touch it's fur like the other animals here and we can be friends too! Giggling at the thought I decided to walk closer to get a better look at it when I noticed it's bleeding on its left leg.

Oh no! It's hurt! I quickly rushed forward without thinking and to get a closer look at his leg.

The lion narrowed his eyes and growled lowly at me while shifting into a defensive stance.

I whimpered, imagining how painful it must be and the injury has not stopped bleeding yet.. I have to help him!

I shifted to human form as it'll be easier to treat him, he seemed to tense as soon as I shifted and maybe his eyes widened too but I can't be too sure.. I mean I'm not wearing any clothes but sang told me I only had to wear them in front of other creatures and not animals so it should be fine. Plus this is an emergency!

I got closer and closer until I was right next to the lion, I didn't even check how he reacted and just got his injured leg to have a closer look. It seems like something shiny and the length of my hand is stuck halfway inside his thigh...

I guess I'll just have to pull it out before it can get better.

I went to reach to it at the same time the lion gave a panicked growl and as I touched it I felt a burning sensation on my hand but decided to ignore it and quickly pulled it out of three lion first.

As soon as it left it's leg, I dropped the shiny thing. Whimpering while looking at my hand, it was already burned and a massive bleeding wound was left behind on my hand.

"Ouchies." It hurts. I couldn't stop from sobbing and whimpering as fat tears were rolling down my face.

It must've hurt so much for the lion too. Looking at it in front of me, I could see the wound slowly knitting back together. I gasp and my pain forgotten.  Kitty is the same as me? It can also heal so fast?

As I was thinking the lion shifted into a human. It was a man! He has shoulder length black hair and brown eyes. Looking into his eyes I couldn't help but blurt out while tilting my head "kitty is same as me?"
