Ian's POV-

I turned the car key, getting the car out of the garage refusing to look back at Anthony.  He was right, I probably shouldn't have driven stick while holding Samantha's hand, but he didn't have to be a dick about it.

Ever since Samantha came around, Anthony had been acting more like a dick than usual. Some place deep down inside me knew the real reason behind it, but I didn't want to believe it. I would come up with excuses as to why he had been a dick to me that day, but I always knew the real reason.

"So where the hell are we even going?" called Anthony from the back of the car, being obnoxiously loud. As annoying as he was being, he was right, I had no idea where I was supposed to be going.

I looked over at Samantha, who seemed to look concered at us not having a plan, but I couldn't blame her- her life was sort of on the line. "A hotel in LA, we'll figure out the rest once we get there."

Samantha sighed a sigh of pure relief, which made me do the same. I looked back at Anthony through the mirror hanging to my right, his face looking anrgy, angry that I had a plan. Angry that I had once again proven myself to Samantha, and made him look like a dick.

Half of me felt happy because of the angry look on his face, but the other half felt concerened. Were we really letting Samantha come between our friendship?

Samantha's POV-

Sitting in the car, I could feel the tension between Ian and Anthony. I didn't know the cause of it, but I had a feeling that I had something to do with it, which made me feel worse about the whole situation. The last thing I inteneded on doing was bringing my hell into their life, let alone tear them apart. The first day I met them, the two were practically inseperable. But now, only days later, they could hardly look at eachother.

I loved that they cared, I loved how someone finally cared about me. I loved how they took the time out of their lives to help me, when they could have been doing much more productive things with their time. They made me feel like I was special; like I was someone. Though, in all reality, I was much more trouble than I was worth

"Why are you guys doing this?" I heard myself ask, as if my mouth spoke the words before my consience could stop it.

"Because we don't want you to get hurt by your phsyco ex-boyfriend," he said, chuckling slightly as he averted his eyes from the road and on to me.

"Not like that," I sighed, glaring out the window, "I mean just in general, why are you helping me? Why did you pick me up off the side of the street instead of making your lives a hell of a lot easier, and just walk past me?"

Ian sighed, pauseing for a moment as he searched his mind for the right answer, "You caught my eye, I felt bad, I couldn' t have just left you on the bench," he looked at the road once more before turning his attention back to me, "When I saw you, I just had to know more about you. I needed to know why you were on the bench, you needed help, and I needed to help you."

"You didn't need to do anything."

"I wanted to."

"But, why?"

He smirked at me before saying, "Cause I'm a nice guy."

I smiled at him before finally leaning back in my seat and relaxing. Just him saying that seemed to make all the troubles I had go away for the slightest moment, bringing me back to a better time that was just days ago, "Thank you."

Anthony's POV-

I gritted my teeth as listened in to the painfully adorable conversation that Ian and Samantha were having. When Ian finally silenced for a moment, I joined in.

"Samantha," I sighed, "We really do care for you. I know it could be a bit hard to fathom, considering your situation, but we do. Don't worry so much."

She looked back at me, smiling as she said, "That's very possibly the sweetest thing you've said to me since we've met."

"I try."

"Well keep it up, I like sweet Anthony."

I sighed, smiling back at her. Right then was when I realized that I had been trying too hard. All I had to do to win Samantha over was be myself, something I had forgotten to do around girls for the longest time.

Ian's POV-

We spent the rest of the day driving from Sacramento to LA, and by 7:00pm, we'd found ourself a decent hotel to stay at while we devised a plan.

Soon after we arrived at the hotel a plan had been established; to move out of the smosh house and find a temporary place to live until the situation was sorted out. We hoped it would't be long, though the guy had been at it for over five years. We didn't know what to expect.

So the following day, I drove back to the smosh house to pack up all of our things, while Anthony stayed at the hotel looking online for apartments ready to be rented out as soon as possible.

Arriving at the house, I stepped in to see nothing out of the ordinary besides a note very obviously left by Drew stating that he would get Samantha if it was the last thing he did. I threw it in the trash, and vowed not to tell anyone about it as I continued packing up things and setting the packed things into a trailer I had rented, soon making my way back to the hotel while struggling to haul the trailer with my tiny car.

Things began to look up for all of us when Anthony informed me that he had found an apartment that he had convinced the owner of to let us move in the following day. So that night we went out to celebrate in a way, going out to eat at a somewhat fancy restaurant.

"A toast," I said, lifting my drink, "To Samantha's new start, I'm glad we could join the ride."

Samantha smiled at me, lifting up her drink as well, "A toast to both of you, for giving me the opportunity for a new start."

We clanked our drinks together, and continued our meal. Samantha seemed to be having the time of her life, so I was too. We stayed at the restaurant for hours before finally being kicked out by the staff, due to the restaurant closing for the night.

That night was great, and one of the most carefree nights we'd had since Samantha had arrived, which seemed like ages. I could tell Samantha finally felt free from Drew, safe from him. We all began to let out guard down, which was something we all needed.

Though, proving later to be something we never should have done.
