"Okay, here's my phone." Christian hands me his phone and I hand him mine as we head out to the beach for another day of surfing. I put his phone in my mini purse and then go and get my wet suit on.
The competition is in two days, and I think I'm going to win this thing for my team. Most of my team members are really good at surfing, and all believe we are going to win out of all the teams.
"Alright people, the competition is in two days, and some of you still suck at surfing." Everybody looks at Ian with expressions of loath, so what he's handsome, he's still a jerk.
"You would think that something happened to him as a child in order to act like this," Emily rolls her eyes at Ian. "But I mean, hey I think he's pretty hot if you ask me, he has a harsh side to him, but something tells me that maybe just maybe he has a soft side, that's what I adore about him."
I look at Emily with a judgemental expression, "Whatever."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, he gave you his phone," asks Emily.
"Yeah of course, and I gave him mine, I have nothing to hide at all."
"Okay then miss perfect," Emily retorts.
"At least I don't like the head councilor," I stick my tongue out at her like a little five year old.
"Fine, you got me there."
"Well, what do I do with his phone?"
"You just take pictures of yourself and go on his facebook and stalk him and his Instagram, and Twitter and all of that stuff."
"Okay," I laugh because I wouldn't think stalking your boyfriend's social accounts would be at the top of my list. Emily looks at his phone with me, then I put on my Coach sunglasses and start taking pictures.
Later in the day, Emily and this girl named Abigail from my cabin and I go for a walk on the beach. We all just talk about boys, and I tell Abigail how Christian asked me out, and how it was perfect.
"Yeah, I saw him give you CPR," Says Abigail with a wink.
"Yeah he did do that to me, I'm glad it wasn't the other way around though, because I don't know how to do CPR, or to save a life."
"You're lucky other people were out there too," replies Emily. I nod my head at her to show that I agree.
"So besides the fact that Andrea has Christian, are you guys excited to go home already," asks Abigail.
"I don't know, I mean I can get used to living on the beach you know, I come from Arizona where it's like all fucking desert and it's like a living hell in the summer time."
"I went to Arizona once, but my family went in the winter," I say.
"Where do you live Andrea?"
"Oh I live in Montana."
"Oh okay," Emily and Abigail both say in unison.
Later after we're done talking, we go back towards the campsite, and get smoothies from the snack bar, then we go back to the cabin and I practice the guitar chords that i learned from earlier this week.
"Ew, can you shut up already, you suck, let's see how a real professional does it," Hannah rolls her eyes at me and takes my guitar and puts the strap around her neck.
I roll my eyes back at her even though she is a really good guitar player.
"Yeah and um tell me how long you've been playing guitar," says Emily from the top bunk clearly disgusted.
"Since I was six, my daddy got me lessons just because I wanted them, oh yeah we also live in a million dollar house."
"Well aren't you special," I flip her off, Emily and a few other girls in the cabin laugh.
"Nobody ever talks to me like that," says Hannah snottily.
"Get used to it sweetheart," I wink at her.
"You know what, you think you're the queen bee here just because you're dating Christian, the hottest guy here, but you're not and you never will be, if Christian died, nobody would like you anymore, so stop taking Tristan as an advantage, because as soon as you know it Christian will probably break up with you, then you won't have anybody!" She storms out of the cabin, and everyone comes up to me asking about Christian, and I tell them our beautiful love story, and how it's not over yet, and it won't be for a while, and how I know that we're gonna last forever.
I decide to just go outside and take a little time towards myself and call my mom on Christian's phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey mom!"
"Hi honey, how are you?"
"I'm, I'm really really good actually."
"That's great to hear!"
"Um, mom I have someting to tell you."
"Honey, you're not pregnant are you," my mom exclaims.
"No mom no, I um I have a boyfriend."
"Really? I am so happy for you! What's his name?"
"Christian, and he's really amazing, I want you to meet him when you pick me up."
"Did he ask you out?"
"Yeah, not at first, he was looking for the right way to do it, but eventually he came to my cabin doorstep with a flower and he asked me out," I explain with a smile on my face.
"Oh honey, I'm so happy for you!"
"Thanks mom."
"Well I'm going to go now and finish up some chores around the house," my mom tells me.
"Alright mom I love you."
"I love you too."
"Bye."
"Bye."
I hang up the phone and I see that there's one new text message for Christian, and since it's my phone for the day, I decide to look at it.
I read the text message and instantly feel the act of betrayal from my boyfriend.I start choking up and I feel like my insides are being eaten alive.
"Hey babe when are you getting back from camp? - Lindsey"
