Malfoy p.o.v

Next week we had our first Quidditch match. And dare I say,  Granger in blood red robes is a thing to drool over. She looked like she belonged on the pitch.

I wore my emerald green robes and went on the field with my broom in my hand. It felt so good to do something that I knew wouldn't end in me hurting anyone.

The match had proceeded around 30 minutes when I saw the snitch.

I was so close to catching it. I could taste the victory. As my hand reached towards the snitch, I heard a shriek below me.

It was Granger.

The sound sent shivers down my spine.

All I could see from my height was that she was falling, her back to the ground, cradling her leg in pain, her red and gold robes flapping all around her.

I raced towards her. All thoughts of winning wiped from my mind.

All I was thinking about that she is falling and she will hurt herself very badly. I couldn't let anything happen to her. No. I just... I can't.

My heart pounded as my broom raced toward her.

I caught up to her, 10 ft from the ground.

I feared I couldn't get to her fast enough. I closed my eyes in anticipation as I neared her and I grabbed her hand my broom lurched to the ground, the weight of people was two much for my broom,

We both fell to the ground, I turned us ground in the air so that I fell on my back and granger on my front...

Gasps could be heard all around but all I could focus on was the girl in my arms.

She was moaning in pain as she flew in and out of the consciousness she held her leg with a cry.

Oh merlin!

It was definitely broken. I got up, cradled her in my arms so that her head rested in the hollow of my neck.

By now people were pooling onto the field, I could see Potter, Weasley and other orange heads running towards me. I knew I had to get her to madaym Pomfrey she could fix broken bones in a heartbeat. I took on step and almost fainted. The pain in my lower back was so excruciating. It felt like someone poured molten silver down my spine.
I hurt myself bad during the fall.

I could feel granger's tears on my neck and that made me swallow the pain and walk towards the castle.

I heard cries of her name from the on coming crowd.

The first ones to reach us were Ginerva, Weasely and Potter.

The last face I wanted to see today was standing right in front of me, rage decorated all his freckled features.

'Give her to me malfoy' he snarled as if he owned her. I tightened my grip on her . My pain increasing by the second.

Ron tried to hold her but Lo and behold she turned away from him and further burrowed in my arms.

I felt elated and smirked at him. He saw my face and tired to grab her by force. She cried in pain when he accidently touched her leg.

My vision turned red and I was about to hurl myself at him when Potter pulled him back and looked at me right in the eyes and said

'Go'

I hurried back inside the castle I was running because granger was crying in pain.

When I reached madam pomfrey she fainted because her pain was increasing .

I set her down on the bed and touched her cheek. It was cold

I was wearing a muffler . I took it off and wrapped it around Granger's face.

I started noticing small imperfections about her that made her even more beautiful.
Her porcelain skin was free of blemishes except for one scar on her lip. Maybe she got that in the war?  And didn't heal it on purpose?

I decided to leave. Focusing on Granger wasn't good for my health but as soon as I took a step towards the mahogany doors, I fell to my knees in pain and let out a cry of pain.

Some hufflepuffs who were working under madam pomfrey for training as healers rushed towards me.
Their fading footsteps were the last thing I heard before darkness took over my senses.
