16. Roses and Rings

The ride is awfully quiet but my mind is going crazy thinking about lavender and Ron

Did he lie about being gay? Did he do all that just break up with me?

Being gay was okay with me. Because it wasn't his choice. It was just his heart. And I respected that.

But now all of it is hurting. So so bad.

Tears start falling down my eyes.
Draco is angry. He is looking straight ahead I don't have the courage to face him.

Suddenly I feel his hands getting around mine firmly.
My tensed up body relaxes a bit.

All I had was Ginny and Luna. Having someone else is making me happy.
He cares a lot.

"Princess, look at me" he says. But he's looking straight at the road.

I turn my head towards him. Tears are still welling up in my eyes.

The hand that was holding mine,moves up to my face and wipes out the tears.

It surprises me because I thought he didn't notice that I'm crying.

He places his hand on my cheek and after a few moments he says "I heard a sniffle princess"

"Oh" I say as I sniffle again.

"God you're adorable" he comments on my sniffles.

Why on Earth a guy would think that sniffles are adorable? It literally tells the other person that the nose is leaking.

I reluctantly take his hand in mine again and he intertwine our fingers.

"Princess, I know it's hard but can you give me your attention for tonight" he looks at me for a second

"Yes sire, why not?" As soon as I said this, a smile spread across his face.

"I know you cant take your eyes off me Granger" there he goes again, he is so full of himself.

"You wish Malfoy" I say with a smirk.

"I know I am charming there is no need to deny it"

"Come on Malfoy we all know the truth here" I know what to say to shut him up.

"And what's that?" Oh he has no idea, what's coming for him.

"That you look like Rapunzel with that blonde hair of yours"

"Wha- how the hell?" He pulls back his hand and runs it through his hair.

I laugh and say "now I know a weakness"

"Okay okay this is probably the last time I'm saying it
Hermoine-1 Draco-0" he replies back in defeat.

"Ah, now tell me where we are going" I ask with curiosity.

Now that I notice it, we are on a hill and there is a hotel on the top.

"Nah, you need to wait to find out"
"Come on pleaseeee" he suddenly puts a finger on my lips, shushing me completely.

"She Granger" he whispers to me. He looks at me again.
With a weird spark in his eyes.

"Listen to the wind for now" he says while making the windows go down.

The cold air makes me feel Alive.
It's messing up my styled hair but I really don't care about that.

I put my hand out in the air, making it feel like it's floating, air brushing against my fingers.

I'm next to the boy whose Making me fall for him, every other second.

I don't know where this journey will take me
But
I never felt so alive with Ron.

Ron never noticed me the way Malfoy notices me.

I feel different whenever he looks at me.
Like a million little butterflies are making a havoc in my stomach.

I was lost in my thoughts, when Malfoy startled me by saying
"Hey ,we are here"he walks out of the car and opens my door like a gentleman

"Oh, being a gentleman are we?" I tease him and take his arm in mine.
Just the way he wants it.

"I am a gentleman princess" he winks at me and we start walking towards the five-star hotel.

What surprised me the most the moment I stepped in was that I thought it would be all crowded here but only a single manager was there to greet us.

He lead us to the rooftop of the hotel.

It's extremely beautiful. The stars our so close. It feels like I can grab them if I reach out.

I look towards the table with white curtains around it.
The curtains are covered with vines of pink roses.

They are my favorite.
I wonder how did he know about that.

He leads me towards it and pulls out a chair for me to sit. And takes a seat in front of me.

"I love your eyes" he says out of no where

"What" I reply back immediately.

"I love your brown eyes" he says again.

"Oh I ..um...I like no love" I stutter.
" You love all me" he says with a smirk.

"Malfoy!" I glare at him but I won't deny it
I might love all of him.
I just don't know yet.

The waiter then bring a bouquet of pink and White roses. Malfoy takes them and presents them to me.

While I was smelling the roses, he cough to bring my attention back to him.

He places a red velvety box in front of me.

"Open it"

"What is this?"

"I don't know, open it"

I take the box in my hands and open it.

There is this simple ring with a Ruby on it.
It's so beautiful. I touch the Ruby with the tip of my finger.

Malfoy suddenly takes the box and pulls the ring out.
He is asking for my hand now.

This boy makes me go to Mars and feel shy .
So I slowly let him take my hand.

He slides the ring on my ring finger.
"This is our promise ring" he says as he points towards the same ring he's wearing around his neck as a locket.

"Promise..ring?" I ask while looking at the ring on my finger and the ring around his neck.

"I promise never to hurt you"
