10. A Start

"Hey" she said, and walked towards me.
"Hi, how are you?" I couldn't resist asking that and I think that question took her by surprise. I guess she didn't know that I saved her.
"Oh ...um.. I guess, I'm getting better now."
"That's ..nice." I hesitated saying that.
Thats it. Now I'm going to walk out.
I nodded and started to walk away.
"Oh ....umMalfoyineedtotalktoyou" she said in one breath.
I let out a small laugh, because that was adorable.
Oh my God, what was happening to me? I ..don't know the word Adorable.
"Okay slow down and say it again"
"Um, I need to talk...to you" she said that slightly blushing....why the hell is she blushing?
"Say it Granger" I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall next to the green couch and stared directly at her.
She's so beautiful.
I was praising her curly hair in my head when I heard her say something. I was too busy thinking about her that I forgot that she was going to say something.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't hear that...say it again" I said plainly
"...you gotta be kidding me, right now..." she was embarrassed. This girl is a mystery. I can't understand her. A moment ago she was blushing like I asked her out and now she's embarrassed like I insulted her teeth.
"Why? Did you ask me out or something?"I don't know why I said that, but I felt light around her. I felt like myself around her.
"Oh MERLIN'S BEARD.. MALFOY no!" she raised her hands to her face.
"Then what did you say?" I was serious, I didn't hear what she said.
"I'm not going to repeat" oh...now she's gonna regret not repeating it.
"Oh ,then I'll just assume, that you asked me out" the look on her face was priceless.
"I did not" she said forcefully.
"You did" I replied with a goofy smile.
"I DID NOT" she marched towards me to cover my mouth.
"GRANGER ASKED ME OUT FELLOW.."
I started running around the room, "HUMANS .. THE WAR HERO ASKED ME OUT."
"Keep it down MALFOY" she was now running after me.
"Then,tell me what did you say."
I stopped because she was injured and she shouldn't be running.
"UGH OKAY ILL TELL YOU I SAID THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME" she was now annoyed and because of the running her bun was now loose.
"Oh. I...um..sure ..why not.. I was just close so I thought I'll save you, it was not because I wanted to save you or whatever"
I was so embarrassed. I thought she didn't know that I saved her.
"Oh.. really Malfoy?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Even madam pomfrey told me how worried you were and Harry asked me if something was wrong with you" she said with teasing smile on her face.
Uh.. I wanted to break madam pomfrey's bones ..she could then try fixing them in a heartbeat. And the son of.... Ill Cruse him in the next quiddicht match. For now I need to cover up.
"....what are you saying ha..ha I wasn't worried" that laugh was so fake, that even I myself was disappointed.
"Oh please Malfoy.. stop being so hard you should be honest with your feelings. It's a friendly advise, my boy" she said with a soft voice .
"And what made you think I'll take advice from you?" she was right though. I should try being honest with self, that might bring a change in my life. May be if I'm honest I'll be able to do something about my feelings for granger.
"Because Mister Malfoy, I am your friend. When she said the word friend I was shook. And I thought I was hearing voices or something.Because granger, the war hero and me the death eater friends... That's a very infamous opinion.
"... you're...what?" I needed confirmation, that I was hearing wrong stuff from her and if I was not..then I think this might a start...of something between us.
"Friend" she said that word with so much confidence that I end up smiling and said
"I don't do friend's Granger" I said the truth, I don't have friends even Blaise is an acquaintance okay maybe ... He's an exception. Every rule has one exception.
"Oh, from now on you will" she said those words, swirled around and went out.
And left me starstruck and blankminded.
What am I supposed to do now?
"Friends" her voice echoed in my ears.
I looked down and smiled.
I liked the idea of being friends.
But I didn't just want to remain friends.
