Chapter 10

"JC's POV*

Today is the day.... That I will ask her out. I know that I haven't known her that long, but she is just so amazing and beautiful. Any guy would be lucky to have her and that guy will be me. I can't wait to see the look on her face when I ask her out on stage. I hope she says yes...

*Jeremy's POV*

I've texted Rachael over 20 times already! Why isn't she replying. I mean she is the one asked me to talk to her more and I'm trying to do that but she keeps ignoring me! Its' probably that JC guy, he's ruining everything for me! I don't get girls. They ask, we give, they still get all pissy. Maybe this is a sign I should just give up on Rachael. There are a ton of girls who are dying to go out with me. Some of them are realllllllly pretty too, like that girl with the earrings. Her earrings are just perfect. Hm, maybe I should just start liking her.

*Texting conversation with Alice*

Me: Hey Alice!

Alice: Sup

Me: Could you do me a favor?

Alice: Yea, sure what is it?

Me: Tell Alice that I don't like her anymore and I'm going to ask Kiara out.

Alice: Wait WHAT?!? KIARA?

Me: Yea, her earrings are gorgeous!

Alice: *sigh* I mean I guess.

Me: Thanks

Alice: No problem...

Good, now I can finally get Rachael out of my life! How am I going to ask Kiara? I think she likes me...

*Beep Beep*

Rachael: Hey, sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was out shopping

Me: Uh, hey, no problem

Rachael: So, how was your day?

Me: Uh, good... Did uhm Alice happen to tell you anything?

Rachael: Nope, oh wait, she's calling for me. Ttyl. Oh yea, sorry for being all harsh. Crazy things have been going on and I didn't know what I was saying.

Oh shoot.... I just screwed up... Again. Whatever... I don't like her anymore. Right?

*Rachael's POV*

"Hey Alice! I got a really cool present for Rosie!"

"Heh heh, cool...."

"DID I HEAR MY NAME?!? A PRESENT TOO?!? FOR MEEEE?"

"ROSIE AUDREY YUIN! HOW DID YOU GET HERE?"

"Wellll, I kinda snuck into a luggage that happened to bring along. Sorry big sis."

"I'm calling dad to get you right now!"

"No! Please big sis! Don't!!!!!!!"

"Fine, but don't butt in, OK?"

"Okie dokie! Now, what's my present?"

"You don't get it now."

"Please???? I promise to be extra good!"

"Fine... Here..."

"OMGGGG ITS A MICKEY MOUSE PLUSHIE IN A TOTORO OUTFIT! THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS!"

"You're welcome... I guess? Now I have some things to do, I'll rent you another room ok? Be on your best behavior or I'm calling dad."

"Mmkay. Byee!" she says leaving the room.

"Hey Rachael, I have something to tell you..." Alice said

"What's wrong?"

"Uhm."

"C'mon you can tell me"

"Jeremy told me to tell you that uh he doesn't like you anymore and is going to ask out Kiara. He says her earrings make her beautiful... I'm sorry Rach."

I felt like bursting into tears. I started screaming and ran out saying I was fine. Was I really....? I mean how could he. I thought. It was my fault after all... Isn't this what you always wanted Rachael. For him to move on.... Now that I think about it, I just don't know anymore... I headed to the beach where I hid my face and burst into tears.

"Rachael, is that you?" I hear someone ask.

"W-w-who are y-y-y-ou" I barely say.

"Its JC. Are you okay?"

"Do I look okay?"

"What happened?"

"Jeremy, he told me that he didn't like me anymore and was going to ask this girl out because of her earrings."

"Look Rachael, you just need to forget him. He only likes people by their looks and that's not right. You're amazing and any guy would be lucky to have you."

"Thanks... But I've liked him since around the fifth grade. How can I not stop. He was so nice to me but became a jerk."

"You just need to forgive yourself and forget him. He's not worth your time."

"Yea, you're right."

*JC's POV*

How many times will he screw up? No, I just can't wait. I'm going to ask her here and now. I look her straight in the eyes. Even with her red nose and puffy eyes she's beautiful. I lean in and kiss her. A few seconds later I pull back.

"Rachael, will you go out with me?"
