6 | Friends with benefits

~ 1 week later ~

"Tyler, wake up." Josh softly shook Tyler's shoulder. Tyler groaned and opened his eyes.

"Me and Jordan are going to school, do you want to come?" He asked.

"I guess I'll go." He groaned and sat up. Josh smiled and sat up.

"You have an hour to get ready." He said and walked out. Tyler rubbed his face and got ready for the day.

Tyler looked up as a girl with blue hair sat in front of him and josh.

"Hey, josh!" She smiled. She looked over at Tyler and smiled.

"I'm Ashley." She said and waved.

"Tyler." He answered and let out a small smile.

"Why were you gone for like a week ?" She asked and bit into her cookie.

"Reasons." He sighed and looked at Tyler. Tyler looked down and frowned, he felt guilty that josh missed school for him.

"What type of reasons?" She asked and looked at josh then Tyler.

"Personal. Anyways, what happened while I was gone?" Josh asked. Tyler huffed and stood up. He grabbed his tray and walked away. Josh watched as Tyler dumped his tray in the trash can and walked out of the lunch room.

"What's his problem?" She asked. Josh exhaled softly and shook his head.

"I'll talk to him later."

Tyler ran out with tears in his eyed. He grabbed his bike and went back home.

He sat on the edge of his bed and sighed. He wiped the tear away sniffed.

"Why the hell are you so sensitive?" He asked himself.

"Fuck this, I'm taking a nap." He groaned and laid down. [Me]

Josh closed the door and put his book bag on the ground.
"Tyler?" He called. He sighed as he heard no answer and walked down the hall. He opened Tyler's bedroom door and looked inside, Tyler was sleeping.

He walked in and quietly closed the door.
"Tyler." He said loudly. Tyler groaned and sat up.

"What do you want?" He asked as he rubbed his eye.

"I just want to talk." He said and sat next to Tyler.

"About what?" He asked.

"Why did you leave?" Josh said and looked at Tyler.

"I dont know. I felt guilty." He shrugged and sat up.

"There's no reason to be guilty, ty."
Tyler sighed and shrugged.

"I feel bad, I made you loose a week of school and I feel like your mad at me." He said quietly.

"Don't feel bad, I chose to not go for you. I'm not mad at you either, I was just catching up with a friend." He said and placed a hand on Tyler's shoulder.

"You sure?" He asked and made eye contact with Josh.

"I promise." He smiled.
Tyler nodded and looked away.

"I'm sorry I made you feel that way." He said.

"Its fine." He shrugged.
Tyler looked up and before he can comprehend anything, josh smashed his lips against his. Tyler was shocked but closed his eyes and kissed back. Tyler felt his heart flutter, butterflies in his stomach.Tyler smiled into the kiss and placed his hand behind josh's neck.

Josh broke the kiss. He bit his lip and looked into Tyler's eyes. Tyler blushed and smiled.

"Boys!" Laura called.

"Let's go." Josh said and walked to the kitchen. Tyler touched his lip and slowly stood up.

He walked out the room and closed the door behind him.

"Hey, Tyler." Laura let out a wide smile. Tyler smiled back and looked at josh.

"Can you just, sit down." She gestured to the chairs. Tyler sat down and looked at her.

"So, the police station want us to go over there this week." She told Tyler.
"For evidence, they want to talk to you and take pictures." She said. Tyler sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

"We can go anytime this week." She shrugged. Josh frowned and sat next to Tyler.

"Friday." He answered quietly. Laura smiled and nodded.
"Friday." She said and pecked his head.

"What was that kiss about?" Tyler asked and rested his head on his palm.

"I'm sorry, I I just went for it." He muttered. Tyler chuckled.

"Its fine, it was great." Tyler smiled. "josh?"

"Hm?"

"what are we?" Tyler asked.

"Whatever you want us to be." He shrugged and smiled.

"How about, friends with benefits?" He said with a small smile.

"Best friends with benefits." Josh nodded.

"Yeah," Tyler chuckled out.

"let's go play basketball." Tyler said. Josh nodded and they went outside to play.

"Check it." Tyler said. Josh stared at the ball and passed it to Tyler, tyler passing back, he passed it back and tyler began dribbling the ball.

Josh reached his hand out of the ball but Tyler ran and shot the ball, the ball going into the hoop.

"Jesus," josh said breathlessly.
Tyler just smiled and passed the ball to josh.
