A Whole Different Chapter

JELENA'S P.O.V

Today is the day that they are unplugging Jonah.

I've been crying my eyes out ever since last night, and I've been praying to God to make him wake up.

The nurse comes in and goes up to his monitor, about to unplug him, when Jonah flinches.

"Oh my gosh.." I cry happy tears as Jonah's eyes slowly open up and his lips curving into a smile.

"You have no idea how happy I am to see your face." Jonah says, lifting up his hand that is not currently holding mine, and putting it on my cheek. 

"And you have no idea how happy I am to hear your voice again.." I smile and Jonah and I stare at each other for a while, just enjoying each other's company.

THE NEXT WEEK

"OK Jonah, your free to go.." Zara says, before Jonah and I both walk out of the hospital and heading towards the über I got.

They drive us to Jonah's housd and Jonah and I just chilled out for a bit on the couch and we were watching Netflix on his TV.

We had popcorn, drinks, blankets, candy and even a few burgers. The lights were turned off and we found some fairy lights in the attic to decorate the room with, illuminating the room.

It was pretty late at night, it was around 3 am and I was wide awake.

Then after at least 7 movies, 4 bags of popcorn, 6 drinks, 3 bags of lollies and 8 burgers, I was full of food and I was so sleepy. My eyes getting heavier everytime I blinked. I eventually fell asleep.

MORNING

I got woken up by a loud gun shot. My eyes shot straight up and I looked around the bright room. Jonah was peacefully sleeping on my shoulder and the curtains were drew open. The fairy lights were still alone, and then I remember the gun shot that I heard just 2 minutes ago. Then I hear it again. And again. And again. Then I realise that the TV is still on, playing a movie.

"Oh, it was probably the TV." I laugh at my self "I feel so stupid."

Another gunshot was fired and Jonah must have heard it because his eyes shot up like mine did and he had a look of worry on his face.

"Don't worry, it was just the movie.." Jonah laughs with me and he puts his arm over my shoulders and pulls me closer towards him.

"What's the time?" He asks.

"7 o'clock on a Tuesday." We sit there in silence, and although that may seem awkward, I really like it. Just sitting there in silence and enjoying each other's company.

I want to do this all day long.

But then Jonah's mum barges in through the door.

"WAKE up! Bre- oh, Jelena dear.. Hello! I didn't know you were here.." Jonah's mum says.

"Hi Mrs Marais.. I came over yesterday afternoon after Jonah got let out.." I explain to her

"OK.. well breakfast is downstairs," OK thank her before getting up and getting ready for the day.

"Wait, don't leave" Jonah says holding onto my arm

"But we have to get ready.." He frowns and he also gets up getting ready for the day.

"Can I borrow some clothes?" I ask Jonah and he nods before throwing me a black skirt and a white shirt.

"Why do you have this?" I ask before going into the bathroom to get changed

"It was Evas.." He says "you ready yet?" He says through the door

"Yep.." I walk out and Jonah stands there staring. "What?" I ask confused.

"I have the hottest girl in my house right now.." I laugh and blush at his comment before we walk downstairs, my hair flowing behind me as the wind from the window hits me across the face. My hair is down btw.

While we're eating breakfast, there wasn't much conversation, except for the occasional "how have you been" and "how's school?"

Once both Jonah and I had finished he drove me to school, and when we had gotten to school and I came out of the car with Jonah, everyone was staring at us, considering I did just come out of the car with THE Jonah Marais and that both Jonah and I haven't been at school for ages. It's probably also because they are shook that Jonah woke up since not many people at school knew about the whole incident, and for the people who did know, they probably didn't except him to be here after a short recovery.

Jonah escorts me to my class and kisses my forehead before leaving.

Did I mention that Jonah asked me out again?

It feels like everything is back to normal now and that this is a whole new chapter in my story called Life.
