It will be the first time we have ever gone back to where it started.
Back to the quiet street with no one to play with. The oddly quiet town. With the same old neighbours, but this time it was to celebrate Christmas. My family are throwing a Christmas dinner in the park. Colbys parents and siblings were going to attend. But we were holding a secret that none of them knew.
It was a three day to drive from Los Angeles to Kansas. This time it's going to be worth it. Neither of us had seen our family since the day we got married.
"Colbs, hurry up." I said throwing my bag down the stairs.
"Babe, I'm packing the car." He replied
"Okay then sweet,I'm comingggg!" I yelled running down the stairs.
I ran out towards the classic red 2007 Toyota Corolla. The cars trunk was full to the very top.
"Babe let's go" Colby whined.
"Let me get some snacks mate." I said running inside.
"You're lucky I love you" he whispered to himself.
" I heard that colbear, I love you." I yelled back.
Colby opened the door while i threw in redbulls, mineral water and chips cause it's all this house consists of.
I push my chair back to rest but as I do, Colby has the Aux cord. I shot straight back up preparing myself to belt out emo songs with my husband.
"I knew you'd sit back up"he said laughing.
" cause you know me to well." I sassed him.
"Hey Siri, play music" Colby spoke to Siri.
"In the end. As we fed in to the night. Ohhhh. Who we'll tell the story of your life." Andy Biersacks voice flooded the car. Colby moved his hand over to my knee and just rested there.
Suddenly all sixteen (16) of my drumming classes flew back to me and I taped the whole song exaggerated to the maximum .
"Bubba, if we drive all night we will get there by tomorrow, do you wanna swap for a bit.?" I told Colby.
" soon, very soon okay hun." He whined pulling over.
Finally after forty eight (48) hours of driving we made to Kansas the day early.
