Chapter 5: Gotcha

"Uh heh heh...What uh..whatcha doin' there Colby?" I chuckled nervously and hugged him back gently.

He took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled it.

"Hugging you," said Colby as he leaned away. I nodded and looked around the kitchen.

I make things so awkward..

Colby cleared his throat and stood up, offering his hand to me. I looked at his hand, then his face and rose a brow.

He chuckled, "C'mon. We gotta get ready now." He smiled and took my hand, pulling me out of my seat. I was in a daze and on cloud 9, following him aimlessly.

Before I knew it, Colby's eyes found mine and held me captive. They were as beautiful as I thought; icy blue with a touch of grey.

I felt my feet walking and the air I breathed made my head spin. Colby lead me to the stairs, "Did you bring extra clothing, or do you have to go home for some?"

I blinked and shook my head.

"No, I've got a few pairs extra in my car.." I trailed off and averted my eyes from his.

They're like some weird, freaky spell to tranfix me..Oof.

Colby nodded and opened the door for me, following me to my car.

"The drive ways a bit packed..My bad," I chuckled and unlocked my car.

"Its alright, you should see it when we have parties." Colby smiled.

"Is that an invitation, Mr. Brock?"
I leaned in and grabbed my bag full of the essentials; clothing, some make-up, hair ties, hair brush, tooth brush and paste, and 2 pairs of headphones.
(everyone needs 2 pairs of headphones on hand cos ya never know xD )

He shrugged and looked at me as I locked my car again,"Possibly."

"Hmm..Alright." I chuckled and walked back into the house, Colby following shortly behind.

"Oh hey, how's your head feeling?" I remembered guiltily and turned to him. Colby parted his hair slightly and leaned in. I inspected it and clicked my tongue.

"The swelling has gone down quite a bit..And the colouring is faint."

"Does that mean it's better?" Asked Colby.

I nodded and booped his nose, running up the stairs.

"Be down in a few," I waved to Elton as I passed him. He nodded and took Circa outside, most likely for a walk.

~El Time Skip~

We arrived at the Laser Tag palace and huddled in a group, everyone with cameras in hand.

"Okay people, let's do this. We don't have all day!" Elton said loudly. Our group was the 8 of us; Elton, Colby, Corey, Devyn, Sam, Kat, Aaron, and I. Everyone turned on their cameras and did their intros, then got quiet for Elton to speak.

"We'll be in 2 teams of 4. This is going to be a competition so play to win. Who wants to be team captains?" Asks Elton. We all looked at each other; Kat, Colby, and Sam all flung their arms in the air. Corey chuckled and a few of us whistled.

Elton laughed, "Should we do boys vs. girls?"

"There's 3 girls and 5 boys, though." I stated and crossed my arms.

Elton thought for a minute and joined us girls, swaying his hips.

"Come on, ladies, let's win this thang," he spoke in a high pitch, feminine voice. I stiffled a laugh and nodded along with everyone else.
