Him and Her {L.H}

~Three~

"Fine then," Nick said, looking from Lissa to me, "We are over" he muttered as he walked away.

Lissa looked at me with tears in her eyes. I walked straight over to her and pulled her in for a hug. I couldn't actually believe what I just saw. A part of me was really happy they were over.

We had come back to my place quickly after everything that happened, and for the past hour or two we had just been watching a movie.

Lissa hadn't said much and neither had I. She would talk when she wanted to, so I decided to just leave her for now.

She was on one end of the couch and I was sat up the other end, we were both facing eachother with our feet piled on top of one another.

A few minutes later Lissa looks at me intently, "Luke?" she said, as I turn my head to look at her.

"Yeah?" I say, cracking a small smile.

"What do you think love is?" she asks me, as she looks away.

"I'm not sure Lissa," I sigh, I can't seem to find the right words to say to her, and my heart hurts like crazy because all I want to do is tell her I love her, but that is the one thing she doesn't want to hear right now, I know that.

"Love hurts" Lissa says looking at me, her face looks pained, she looks like she doesn't know what to do anymore, and it hurts, to see her like that.

I don't have anything to say to her, and I have no idea what to say to her, so I shuffle around on the couch so I am able to pull her into a hug.

"It will get better," I say to her, "First loves are hard, but I promise you are going to find the right guy one day."

It kills me inside to say that, that guy might never even be me.

I awake to the light of the sun shining straight into my eyes.

Lissa and I must have fallen asleep sometime during the movie last night because the t.v. was still on.

I remove myself from Lissa legs tangled around mine and go close the blinds.

As I walk back to the couch I watch Lissa, I watch how peaceful she is when she sleeps and how nose scrunches up when piece of hair fall into her face. She looks gorgeous sleeping, all I want to do is go and snuggle up to her, and everything will be perfect. In reality I know that won't happen, apparently life doesn't work like that, life is unfair, cruel even.

I decide after a few minutes of watching Lissa sleep peacefully that I would go make a coffee and make some breakfast for Lissa and I.

Lissa's P.O.V

I am woken by the sound of my phone going off, I reach over to grab it from the table next to me and look at the I.D, it's Nick.

"What do you want Nick?" I say harshly into the phone.

"I want you to meet me at the Coffee bar at 12 o'clock please. We need to talk." He says into the phone, I cringe at hearing his voice I want to go, I want to see him but what else is there to talk about he doesn't like me spending time with Luke and that's something that I can't just drop and say well I will stop spending time with him. Luke's my best friend and I love him.

"No Nick, I am pretty sure there is nothing else to talk about. You don't want me spending time with Luke and I am not willing to stop spending time with him." I say with a sigh. "Bye Nick." I say as I hang up.

I soon throw my phone to the other end of the couch and walk out I the room to find Luke.

"Good morning!" Luke says with a smile.

He still has his bed hair and he looks so cute. I have always loved how Luke looks in the morning.

I smile back at him and go to hug him. He pulls me into a big bear hug and says "I made pancakes!" I laugh at how excited he is with his efforts.

A few minutes later I hear my phone go off with a text.

I go to check it and it reads,
"Lissa, I am so sorry, sorry for what I said, but I really, really love you and want to be with you. You are my world and I can't bare to live life without you. Yes, okay, I really don't appreciate you spending time with Luke but I will try to ignore that fact. Please just meet me at the coffee bar at 12, I will wait there for you and if you don't show up by 2pm then I will no we are over. Just please come"

Reading the text Nick just sent me bought tears to my eyes. I look over to the clock to see that it is already 11 o'clock and I have 1 hour to get ready and meet Nick and that is exactly what I decide to do.

Okay! I am sooooo sorry that I haven't updated in a while! I have seriously been so busy!

This chapter wasn't the best but there ya go! It's updated at least!
