Sunlight lingered under the eyelashes and closed lids of Raven Lorelei Midwinter.Or simply, just Raven. She slowly got up from her bed and turned her head around towards her window.
It was still early. Around 5 A.M but the rays of the sun were painted yellow, orange, and mostly blue. So it looked like its around 7 or 8. She then looked down at her alarm clock, hit the snooze button before it even rang.
She stood up and stretched her body from side to side. Twisted her torso and bended her knees up and down and up and down. Still in her owl printed pajamas, she walked down the stairs just to hear her two brothers bickering at each other.
"Kenneth Ulysses Midwinter, as your elder brother I order you to eat your breakfast and take a break from your phone for goodness sake!"
"And Mr. Knox Midwinter, as your little brother, and I love you and Rae, I'm gonna ask you to go back to the kitchen because I smell something burning"
"What do you mean--- our breakfast!" Knox exclaimed and ran back to the kicthen.
Kenneth scrunched up his nose, inhaling that burnt smell before chuckling at how pathetic his brother looked trying to save their breakfast.
Raven walked towards Kenneth, who was sitting on the couch and was busy scrolling up and down of his phonescreen. The tv was on and it was featuring the local morning news. Raven's eyes widened and took the remote to raise the volume.
"CROWNS has yet again astound and moved us with their new song..." The sound trailed off into the background as Raven backed up to the sofa.
Kenneth felt someone sat down beside him. He turned his head to see his sister sitting beside him, her eyes sparkling and wide while watching the local news. He smirked and watched the show with her too.
"I never knew you were into boy bands lately" This got Raven's attention. She did a double take, scrunched up her nose and knitted her eyebrows whilst looking at him.
"Hmm? Yeah, I guess that's a new thing about me." She raised her eyebrows and shrugged. Kenneth's eyes widened a bit and then looked at his sister.
"Oh yeah? Then which group do you like?"
"Uh..." she started. "... well, there's this one group that started in Youtube called WOLFGANG. They are quite good actually."
"Huh? Youtube? So they're like a cover group." Kenneth asked.
"Yeah, and they sometimes compose their own songs." Raven replied.
"So what made them so special for you?"
"It's their uniqueness when it comes to their videos. Especially their appearances. They wear intricate animal masks!" Raven said cheerily before excusing herself to make a cup of hot cocoa.
And when she went back to their living room, she saw her brother searching for WOLFGANG through their plasma screen TV.
"I just don't get it though" Kenneth started, crossing his arms and laying his back against the sofa's back rest. "How could people–or GIRLS–be into them when they couldn't even see their whole face?!And how could you tell that this is this and that is that?"
"Why do you wanna know?" Raven smirked while raising her brow. She then sat back down beside him just to take the remote to return to the local news.
"Just curious."
You see, the WOLFGANG members wore animal-themed masks that mostly covered up their eyes and nose. But there were instances in some videos where they reveal their eyes but still had customized animal face masks covering their mouths.
