3rd: Im still a teenager!

The next morning I woke up early and made my way to the kitchen. My dad was there already but mom was out of sight. I smiled at dad and took my seat to his right.

"You are not really a morning person, Chloe. How come you're smiling at me so early in the morning?" my dad said and laughed.

"I had a good night, that's why. Dad, can I go out again today? I need to go somewhere." I replied.

But even before dad could answer, mom already gave out an answer. It was clearly a NO for her. She walked inside the dining room followed by 4 ladies.

"You are having you lessons today." mom added. 

"But mom, we can do that tomorrow! Or the following day! I need to go today." I said.

"Your trainers are waiting for you."

"What lessons am I taking today?"

"Dancing, etiquette, literature and...?" mom said as she looked at the lady on her right.

"It's music, madame Cross. She will be playing the harp with me." the lady said with a smile.

With all these lessons piling up, I can't meet Tao, I need dad to be on my side.

"Mom, maybe we can do this another day. I need to go somewhere. Right dad?" I said.

"You go to that somewhere on another day." mom replied.

"Darling, Chloe said she needs to go somewhere. Just let her go." dad said while taking in a glass of wine.

"Her trainers are here."

"They can come here another time."

"STOP SPOILING YOUR DAUGHTER! THAT IS WHY SHE NEVER LEARNS!" mom said firmly, though she didn't shout.

"She never listens to you because you also don't listen to her! She's a teenager. She needs to go out. Make friends, explore a new word! That's what a teenager does." Dad replied.

"Go and prepare yourself to leave. I'll get a car ready for you." Dad said and tapped my shoulder.

"You are not going anywhere, miss. Stay right where you are!" Mom's voice was nearing a shout now.

"Thanks dad. I'll be going upstairs to prepare." I stood up from my chair and left.
