***Sorry this chapter is quite short.****

A dark shadow moved from one tree to another.

"Show yourself!" Yelled the wolf.

Her ears pulled back, as her hairs on the back of her scruff pointed towards the sky. She began circling the very tree the figure was in. Her teeth bared, and ready for anything. Growling with annoyance, and impatience, the wolf got onto her hind legs and leaned back. In one full fledged push she slammed her whole body upon the tree. Shaking it repeatedly; once, twice, three times, she shook the tree. The creature above clung on for dear life. After the fourth hit, the creature lost it's footing and plummeted to the earth.

CRACK! CRACK!

Branches broke under the weight of the creature, the wolf backed away as branches of all sorts of sizes fell to the ground. At the last moment of impact, the creature slowed it's fall, by floating. A deep growl erupted from the lips of the wolf.

The creature stood up, suddenly. It's face covered by the darkened cloak on it's body. Not even the full moon itself could illuminate this creatures looks.

"Who are you?" The wolf asked slowly.

"I could ask you the same."

Now this manlike creature spoke with ease. American accent. Male. His deep voice, pitchy. And his height a little taller than my human size, which is about 5'2. So age could be about 16-19.

"Haven't seen a wolf like you, in a while. Don't your kind hang out in groups? Should I run away in fear? Will they come and scare me?" His voice rang with triumphant.

The wolf moved forward, and began circling her prey. Now don't worry my dear friends, even in wolf form I don't hurt people. Or whatever this thing was. My wolf form smirked, the best way she could. She is a dog, what do you expect.

"No pack eh? Lone wolf, not a smart choice in a town like this. Between us, I'd move on. We may live calmy with your kind, but if we catch you alone. Well you can already get a picture right? You're lucky I'm alone, my buddy would've ripped your head off by now. Not saying I wouldn't I just..."

"You have quite the mouth for such a small little boy."

The man froze, I could feel his glare stare deeply into the eyes of the wolf. Part of me felt it inside the human side.

"Just get out of here you filthy beast. For fucks sake I'm trying to save you. If you want I can end your life right here right now," he called back to the wolf.

The wolf laughed, and stopped circling. She turned her attention to the man creature, placed both paws firmly on the ground and staring directly at him.

"Try me," she challenged.

Within the few seconds she said that, and the few seconds following the challenge, the man creature lunged at the wolf. Both equally fast, with it being a full moon the wolf had the upper hand. She jumped out of the way quicker, and just toyed with him. Every time he charged she'd skid out of his reach, causing him to shoot forward and retrace his steps.

"Come on bitch! Quit toying around. If you're so badass, fight me!" He yelled.

So they continued. The creature moving quite fast, used the trees as an advantage. He'd climb up, then dash down. When he would do so the wolf would swag out if his way. Which in turn would repeat the process. They went on like this for quite some time. Waiting, just waiting for one of them to slip up. To bad it had happened to be the wolf. I being the subconscience was the first to notice. There was a tree limb sticking above the ground. Each time the wolf moved away from the creature she'd move closer and closer to this limb. By doing so it was a higher risk she'd slip.

Which is what exactly happened. As he came dashing down she attempted to move. But as that happened her hind leg caught the limb causing her to slip. In that moment of miscalculations, the creature tackled her. Wrapping his arms around the throat of the wolf he held her tight. If she didn't get him off quickly he could easily break her neck, or suffocate her to death. So she began to roll. It would've been a quick and easy process but this man like creature held a tight grip. He was not going to give up easily. So she started slamming her back upon anything around her. I watched as this had gone on, I tried to get a better glance of what had held on to the wolf so tightly. But this creatures cloak covered every inch of it's body.

If it weren't for the small limb that had caught the cloak I'm quite positive he would have killed the wolf. The branch yanked upon the cloak as the wolf pulled in all strength to get loose of the creature. I saw in a blink of an eye, as the cloak ripped from the creatures body. As it came off, so did the grip on the wolfs neck. He fell back as the wolf sprang forward. She turned and stared deeply at the creature before her.

The man stood under the shade of the tree. The wolf arched her back, as she readied herself for anything. The man took a step forward. A deep growl erupted from the mouth of the wolf. Then it began. The creature used it's speed and came head on towards her. But she was ready. She swiped him to the side, sending him skyrocketing towards the trees at her side. He smacked it with great force, knocking the wind out of him. As he tried to propel himself up the wolf towered over him. She pawed him over, onto his back, and placed her paw upon his chest. She raised her head towards the sky, and howled to the moon. She then turned her gaze to the creature under her hold. Her teeth bared and victory rolled off of her. In her surprise, she recognized this creature.

"You!" She said shockingly. Her ears straight up, her eyes wide with acknowledgment. She knew who this creature was. Well who the creature was as a human. But who was he really? Or what was he really?
