Zindagi yuun huyi bassar tanha,
Qaafila sath aur safar tanha,
Apne saaye se chaunk jaate hain,
Umar guzri hai is qadar tanha,
Raat bhar baaten karte hain taare,
Raat kaate koi kidar tanha,
Doobne wale paar ja utre,
NaqshPaa apne chorr kar tanha,
Din guzarta nahin hai logon main,
Raat hoti nahi bassar tanha,
Hum ne darwaze tak to dekha tha,
Phir na jane gaye kidar tanha...
