Yeh kesa nasha hai main kis ajab khumar main hoon,
Tu aa ke ja bhi chuka hai main intezar main hoon,
Makaan hai qabar jise log khud banate hain,
Main apne ghar main hoon ya main kisi mazaarmain hoon,
Dar-e-faseel khula ya pahaRR sar se haTta,
Main ab giri hui galiyon ke marg-zar main hoon,
Bas itna hosh hai mujh ko ke ajnabi hain sab,
Ruka hua hoon safar main kisi dayaar main hoon,
Main hoon bhi aur nahin bhi ajeeb baat hai yeh,
Yeh kesa jabr hai main kis ke ikhtiyar main hoon,
Munir dekh shajar chaand aur deewaren,
Havaa khizaan ki hai sar par shab-e-bahaar main hoon..
