I sleepily sat at the coffee table, hunched over a hot cup of coffee, the soft smoke wetting my face. "Haaah" I sigh, desperately trying to keep my head up, but failing miserably. I prop my elbow up against the table, resting my head against my hand. My visit to the café was an attempt at trying to wake up, I couldn't droop on the job. As I was about to doze off, I could hear the chair across from me scrape against the floor and take on weight. Unwillingly I opened my eyes and looked up, across from me sat a random man, smirking. He was mocking my position, elbow propped and head leaning. Though he was perfectly mirroring my position, he had an energy to him that prevented him from looking sleepy.
Embarrassed, I sat up, scooted my chair closer to the table and shoved my hands into to my lap. "Did you need something?" I asked, averting my gaze. "I was about to ask the same thing" he said, his smirk widened and his glance moved toward the chalkboard menu behind the register. "Anything you want, on me." I felt my body flush, not in a flattered way though, I was embarrassed. He was attractive in an odd way I couldn't understand at first. His hair was black, wavy tendrils reaching down to his earlobes that were studded with black gems. The gems twinkled and his hair glinted in the early morning light, but his eyes were blank and black, a small beauty mark under his left. He had squared shoulders and a large build hidden under a dark blue windbreaker. I hated taking stuff from people, especially a stranger but my 7am judgement was dulled and I gave in.
"(Favorite beverage)" I said yawning in to my hand. He went up to the register and started ordering, which I took as my time to doze off.
By the time he had  placed the beverage in front of me I had decided on staying awake, sleeping through everything seemed desirable but rude. He sat down again, holding an iced coffee of his own to his chest. "Picking up people from coffee shops I see" I chuckled.
"Like the cavemen did long ago". He smirked at my joke, huffing through his nose.
"Not exactly" he said, running his finger through the condensation at the side of his cup.
"Oh? So you regularly buy strangers (favorite beverage)?" I felt myself get more comfortable around him. He was cute. " well it isn't exactly altruistic" he said, locking his eyes with mine.
I cocked my head to the side. "Your services..." he mumbled lowly, glancing around him.
Of course. His charming spell broke and the coffee shop felt plain again. The fact that he seemed embarrassed coming to me stung, but the fact he wasn't here for me as a person stung harder. Though I was mildly hurt I kept a straight face and smirked. "Interesting" I said.
My mouth felt dry as if it was filled with ashes when I said it. I didn't feel like hanging around any longer so I slipped him my information and hurried out of the shop.

The warm insides of the coffee shop had coddled me for too long and stepping outside put me in to shock. The wind felt like sharp, clawed hands grabbing at my limbs. I stuffed my hands in my pockets, feeling the sleek screen of my phone in my hand. As I trekked through, I felt the phone buzz. I don't have much of a social life, being the town dom is -believe it or not- taboo. According to society my only choices for potential friendship was the sex shop guy, and the porn producer. With my lack of friends, I assumed it was Ryu. I pulled my phone out of my pocket, exposing my hand to the harsh cold. He sent a text that I found hard to decipher. "C u @ 3??? ;);)"
I typed up a reply, rushing myself as I felt the cold nipping at my fingers.
