Rouge

Chapter 6

*Rouge's POV*

"So Nick, what are you doing here?" I asked after some awkward silence. He just started laughing before responding.

"What? You don't want me here?" He asked. I smiled and shook my head.

"You know that's not what I mean. Why are you here on neutral territory?" I asked him seriously. "Its not safe for you here, especially with you being an Alphas son and all. Not to mention the fact that your the heir to the Alpha title." He smirked at me a little bit before looking at Jason and both their eyes clouded over. I assume that they are mind linking and I hate that.

"Excuse me, I'm right here. And if you came all the way out here to talk to me i don't see the point in mind linking ." I said sternly. I know that I might be acting like a stuck up brat but I have a lot of other things I could be doing.

"Jeez lighten up a bit will you?"  Jason said annoyed.

"Relax Jase, Rouge has been like this since the first time I met her." Nick replied for me. "She'll never change." I glared at both of the boys in front of me before turning to go into my cave.

"Yes that's true Nicky, but we've only met once before so how do you know i've 'always been like this'?" I asked as I got 3 cups from a cupboard and poured water into them. "You act like were childhood best friends when really i've only been around you for a day and a half in my whole life. So Nick really why are you here?" He sadly smiled at me before answering.

"Well i was actually looking for you. I wanted to let you know that I am now in the Alpha position and you can now come onto our land when ever you want. But if you're bring someone else with you you'll have to let me know." 

I smiled knowing that the pack would now be run properly and not by fear, and i'm sure that Nicholas would make a great Alpha. But that's when the thought hit me.

"Nicky, if your the Alpha what happened to your dad?" He gave me sad smile before looking at the ground.

"I had to kill him. I wasn't going to after I beat him but he kept attacking me, and so i ripped his throat out." He looked back up at me with tears behind his eyes. "Rouge he was running our pack into the ground. He had to be removed from his position, but he didn't deserve to die."

I started at Nick sympathetically knowing that it must have been hard to kill his own father.

"It's okay Nick, no one blames you. I'm sure that everyone knows that you had to." I wasn't really sure what to say to him because I know nothing with on the grounds of comforting and i wasn't really sure if that's what he was even looking for from me. He just nodded and smirked.

"Well to be honest that's only part of the reason I came looking for you." He looked down and blushed a little bit. "I also came looking for you cause I thought that you might be my mate." When he said that I choked on my spit before i grabbed one of the cups and downed the whole contents. 

"Well i'm sorry to disappoint." I said once I had recovered. "But i don't plan on having a mate. It just wouldn't work. So i guess you lucky that you were wrong. Water?" I asked while walking back towards them with the 2 remaining cups in hand.

Both boys just stared at me like I was a crazy mass murderer who had just escaped from the insane asylum. 

"What?" I asked slightly aggravated that hey wouldn't stop staring at me after a couple minutes. Jason cleared his throat.

"You never want a mate?" He asked incredulously. I just shook my head.

"Nope it would be to hard. I'm a rouge and I could never ask for someone to take on this life-style for me." With that I turned around and begane to walk into the forest. "Thanks for stoping by Nicky but I've got things to do." And with that I shifted and ran into the forest.

*3 hours later*

It was beginning to get dark when i finally decided that I was done running. I had been so mad after that comment that Jason made. He was just assuming that my mate would accept me. I'm a rouge, and I know not to get my hopes up. 

Suddenly there was the sound of crunching leafs behind me, expecting the worst I jumped behind a tree and hid just listening to the sound of the footsteps. Waiting for them to be close enough so I could pounce. I sat silently as I hear them walk past the tree, i circled around behind them before I jumped with a small growl.

It took me a couple seconds to realize that I had jumped a 5 year old little girl who had tears streaming down her face. 

"Please, please don't hurt me!" She whimpered. I looked at her in sympathy she looked so skinny, i wounder how long she has been out here.

"Hey, hey hunny." I whispered. "I promise i wont hurt you, where are your mommy and daddy?"

"Th-they, sa-aid to r-run," she tried to say in between her sobs. "Th-they were get-tting h-urt b-b-by s-some b-bad guys."

That's when I realized that her parents must have been attacked by some rouges, and it didn't sound like they made it out alive. 

"What is your name sweetheart?" I asked her.

"B-Bella." She whispered.

"Hey, you know what Bella i think your mommy and daddy sent you to me for a reason." I told her gently. She immediately looked up at me with curious eyes and tried to stop crying.

"W-why?" I smiled softly at her.

"Because they want me to be your new mommy, i'll take care of you like your other mommy did, and you can have my heart and i'll love you just as much as your mommy and daddy. Is that okay?" I couldn't believe myself as i whispered this but i couldn't think of anything else to do. Someone had to take care of her. She sent me a small smile and nodded her head. "Okay, then go to sleep and when you wake up you'll be safe." 

She nodded again before slowly letting her eyes blink slowly a couple times before the fully closed and soon after sleep overtook her body.

A/N: Hey guys im so sorry about the late update and that its so short. I've been extreamly busy latley, my brother is graduating highschool and my cousin graduated college and a bunch of peoples birthdays have been recently so I just haven't had time to update, but most of that is over now so I should be able to start updating weekly again! :)
