I sat at the table in the cafe waiting for him to arrive. I had already finished the coffee that I ordered while I was waiting. I see him walk in so I wave to catch his attention. He walked over and stool his hand out for me to shake.
"Hi, how are you" I say standing up to shake his hand.
"Good and you?" He replies.
"I'm fine, anyway... you wanted to discuss the space" I say.
"Yes, of course" he says as we both sit down. The waiter comes over and takes his order then takes my cup back to refill it.
"I can lower the price of rent a little bit or you can buy the place" he says. I think about his offer for a little while. It would be nice if I owned the space but what if wanted it back?
"Well, I would love to buy the space but..."
"You don't know the cost" he says. That's not really why but I nod anyway.
"You can buy it and pay it off over time" he says.
"I could do that. But before I officially decide can I take a look?" I ask.
"Sure" he says leaning back for the waiter to set his coffee down. He takes a sip of coffee then pulls out a sheet of paper. It has a layout of the space printed on it. He pointed to a small room at the back.
"That is an office or a small store room" he says. I nod interested in what else he had to say.
"What about this room back there?" I ask pointing to a large space next to the office.
"That is a living space if you decide you want to live there, other people in the past who have rented the place end up living there because it's easier" he says. I nod and take a sip of my coffee. He explains the rest of rooms. We finish our coffee then go out to his car. He opens the door for me and I get in. He looked young, much younger than I expected him to look. I didn't really notice it when we were talking. In the email he sounded so mature so I assumed he was older. He was older than me but still in his twenties. I looked forward as he started driving. I feel his hand on my thigh so I smacked it off and glared at him.
"Sorry I... stick shift, that's what I was looking for" he says awkwardly.
"Well it's not all the way over here" I snap.
"Please forgive me, I-"
"I forgive you just don't do it again" I say looking out the window again. Soon after we arrive at the place. I get out of the car and wait for him to grab his bag from the backseat. Once he grabs his bag he runs to the door before I could grab the handle and opened the door for me.
"Thank you" I say as I step inside. The inside hasn't been cleaned for quite some time, there was so much dust floating around. You could see it when the you looked the right way. The room was big, empty, and cold. The floor had a rough carpet like the kind that schools have in some rooms. The walls were an off white with a few marks from things scraping against them.
"I understand if you want to redo the place, I can give you the money" He says.
"Yes, thank you" I say. He leads me to a side room. He opens the dark wood door to reveal an office space.
"This is the office that I pointed out on the sheet" He says.
*Namjoon POV*
After I left with the college kids they lead me down many streets and alleys to a short man smoking. They push me forward towards him.
"Is this really the guy? Is this the best you could come up with?" He laughs.
"Hey!" I snap feeling insulted. He looks me up and down then starts checking my muscles through my clothes.
"He has too much muscle take him back" He says turning around facing away from me. I look back at them and shrug.
"Actually, what is your name?" The guy asks as I was beginning to turn around.
"Why should I tell you" I say.
"I'm curious, you interest me... tell me, what is your boyfriends name" he says. I stood in shock trying to figure how he knew I was in a relationship.
"How did you know I had a boyfriend" I snap.
"Gaydar, it's very real. I didn't know you had a boyfriend I was just assuming judging by your smell and clothing choice" he says. I was beginning to get pissed off.
"First of all we have not... I DONT SMELL LIKE HIM" I snap.
"You kissed before you left" he says.
"You were just watching" I say.
"Not only that but you also have a little bit of lip tint on your lips" he says. I though my lips then look at my fingers to see if anything came off. Nothing did but I wiped my mouth on the sleep of my shirt anyway. He smirks then drop the cigarette onto the ground. He puts it out with his shoe by rubbing against the cement.
"You came here to fight, am I correct?" He asks raising his fists.
"I wasn't planning of fighting today but I guess I could go for a fight" I say raising mine. He punches first and I duck. The students move back giving us more room to fight. I punch hitting him in the cheek. He raises his hand as if to slap me the lowers it. He open hand launches forward and grabs onto my shaft. I have been kicked there enough time where it didn't hurt as much. I pull his hand off and twist it.
Soon after the fight ends the group drags me away and brings me to an empty shop.
"Well, you won! We will need you again, here is my number" a girl says taking out s pen and paper. I put her name and number in my contacts she I can come whenever she messages me. I walk past the book shop and saw the lights were off so I assumed Jin closed it for the night. I went back to my box filled apartment and crashed on the couch.
