"Remus? Remus!"
A faint cry came from the small girl's mouth as she jerked up from her sleep. She was sure that she had heard glass breaking not too far away, and was even more positive that she had not dreamt the yelps of pain. Not knowing what else to do, she climbed out of the bed and made her way to the bedroom adjacent to hers - her brother's. The sight that greeted her was not at all pleasant. A large figure stood in the room, close to the boy's bed. It looked up and smiled upon noticing the girl, showing off his rotten teeth.
"Aha! Not just one shall receive the gift tonight. I'll say, darling, you'll be quite a treat, especially after that one nasty muggle bloke. The icing on top of the cake, as they like to say" The man snarled, causing the small girl to shake even more.
"Aww is the poor wittle baby scared?", he called to her in a mocking tone.
A beam of light hit the strange man, and the girl grabbed on to her brother. Both hearts beating fast, they watched the worst that they had seen. The transformation was terrifying to watch, hearing the bones crack as the moulded into a canine shape. Almost as soon as it had begun, it was over.
Another man, the children's father, joined the fray, trying to grab the two while maintaining a firm grip on his wand. He was unsuccessful in grabbing both children and ended up only shielding the girl. This left his son out in the open, and before he could do anything, the werewolf had sunk his teeth into his arm.
