Twins Arrival

Alexa's POV

Not much has happened in the last five and half months. Draco took me to Diagon Alley and got us an owl. So that we could stay in contact while he was at Hogwarts. Even got mirrors that allows us to see each other. I've started studying law, but am currently studying from home as I am due to give birth in five days.

Draco came home yesterday so he wouldn't miss our children being born while Professor Slughorn covered for him at Hogwarts. We had a bet on what we're having including our mums and best friends. Blaise and Draco thinks it'll be two boys, where as Narcissa along with Crystal thinks it's two girls. Mum and I think it's one of each like my dad & aunt were.

Also Draco passed a driving test without the help of magic. Mum and I got him a mobile phone, showing him how to use it. So that when the time comes he can take me to the muggle hospital and call my mum. He'd send our house-elf to alert his mother of the birth. I'm glad mum took Narcissa shopping for muggle clothes, aside from her long dresses and witches robes.

Right now I am studying for a test coming up in two weeks time. I know a little early, but I want to pass it. "So have you decided on your new career yet?" Draco asks from where he was reading the Daily Prophet.

"I would love to be a detective like my dad was, but I think I'll be a lawyer first. At least until our children go to Hogwarts" I tell him.

"I wish you wouldn't be a detective, it sounds dangerous and I don't want to lose you Alexa" he tells me.

"You won't lose me Draco" I assure him putting my text book down. "How about we take Buddy for a walk" I suggest. Draco agrees and I call Buddy while Draco gets his lead. I feel a tightening in my stomach and ignore it breathing deeply. This had been happening for the last half hour and getting stronger each time. At first I thought it was just braxton hicks, but now I'm starting to think I'm going into labour. "Draco we need to go home now!" I shout at him.

"Are you ok Alexa?" he asks eyes full of worry as I hold my stomach.

"I think I'm going into labour, we need to go home and get to hospital bag. Send Larry to your mother's and call mine. Then head to hospital" I tell him. That's exactly what we did and I called my mother on the way. "Mum says she'll meet us at the hospital" I tell him as he unlocks the front door.

"Larry will look after Buddy after telling my mother what's happening" Draco tells me. He grabs the bag and my car keys. We leave the house locking up and I get into the passengers side. While Draco gets into the drivers seat telling me "we'll be there soon. Just breath like you practiced in birth class." I do as I'm told as he drives us to the hospital.

"You know we never did tell each other the names we'd picked out" I tell him.

"Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy for a boy and Nymphadora Elizabeth Malfoy for a girl are my names" he tells me.

"Very nice choices Draco" I tell him smile as an other contraction hits me.

"What are your two names?" he asks.

"Carina Elizabeth Narcissa Malfoy and Leo Jonathan Malfoy" I state.

"I'll be sure to notify the midwife of your name choices if you pass out during the birth" he assures me as we pull into the emergency parking spot. We check into our private labour room and my mum arrives with Narcissa.

"So who will be here for the birth?" Dr Willows asks me.

"Draco, definitely Draco" I tell her.

"Ok, will you're only five centimeters" she tells me. "Are you sure you want a natural birth?" she asks. "Natural birth with multiple babies can be dangerous" she reminds me.

"Yes, I'm sure" I tell her.

"Very well, I'll be back in half an hour to check you again" she tells me. "Your mothers nay stay until you give birth" she adds as she leaves the room.

"So what names have you chosen?" mum asks.

"They're a secret" I tell her smirking.

"You've been hanging out with Draco to long my dear and I already know what he'll name his first son. He's talked about it for years" Narcissa states.

"Yes, but you don't know his middle name" Draco tells her smirking. "Besides we want it to be a surprise" he reminds her.

"Then I shall keep the secret until you introduce your two babies to us" Narcissa assures him.

(ninety-five minutes later)

"One more push and your first child will be here Mrs Malfoy" Dr Willows tells me. "Now push" she instructs and I do so holding Draco's hand. Suddenly baby cries joined my scream. "It's a boy" she declares as Draco cut the umbilical cord and held our son.

"It's Scorpius" he tells me and I smile at my son until I feel another contraction.

"Looks like the other what to join it's brother" Dr Willows states. A nurse takes Scorpius to clean him as Draco holds my hand again. "Push" Dr Willows tells me and I do so. Fifteen minutes later Carina Elizabeth Narcissa Malfoy was brought into the world. Draco and I signed the birth certificates. Dr Willows gets our mothers while the nurse showed me how to breast both babies at once.

Both Scorpius and Carina were sucking happily as our mothers enter the room. "Oh they're beautiful Alexandra" mum says standing on my other side. Draco sat next to me on the ed with his mother standing behind him.

"Why don't you introduce us to our grandchildren?" Narcissa asks.

"Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy and Carina Elizabeth Narcissa Malfoy" Draco tells them pointing to each baby.

"She looks just like you Alexandra" mum says looking at Carina.

"Hyperion?" Narcissa asks us.

"My grandpa's name and fathers middle name, it honors both of them. As Carina's middle names honor you both" I explain.

"He looks just like Draco from when he was born" she says smiling.

"Hopefully he won't be as big of a prat as Draco used to be" I tell her giggling.

"I was a lovely child" Draco says pouting.

"No you were a spoiled brat" Narcissa tells him.

"Do not worry, I'm sure Scorpius won't be like his father in the regard. After all much has changed since then" mum tells us. Once the twins were feed or mums burped a baby each. We spoke for a little while before mum and Narcissa left. Dr Willows said the twins and I should be able to leave tomorrow. As they are perfectly healthy and as am I.

I smile seeing Draco holding Scorpius in front of him and smile down at Carina in my arms. "They are both perfect Alexa, thank you so much" Draco tells me.

"No, thank you Draco" I tell him. We switch babies until it's time for their next feed before placing them in their crib. Draco was spending the night and I had a nice shower. Before changing into pj's and brushed my teeth, Before joining him on the double bed, where we fall into a peaceful sleep.
