Test and Buddy

Alexandra's POV

"Miss Kenning, the doctor is ready for you now" a nurse tells me. Crystal and I follow the nurse to an other room. "She'll be with you shortly" she tells us before shutting the door behind her. I sit on the bed while Crystal sat on a chair while we waited.

"Hey, Alexandra want was the name of that girl again?" Crystal asks. "The one we're seeing after this appointment" she clarifies.

"Alice Clover, why?" I ask and she just points to the name plaque of the Gynecologist. It said A. J. Clover on it. "You don't think?" I ask her and a lady around our age appeared.

"Which one of you is Miss Kenning?" she asks and I raise my hand. "Nice to meet you Miss Kenning, my name is Alice Clover" she introduces herself. I shake her hand and Crystal introduces herself.

"I can't believe you're my doctor as well" I state and she gives me a confused look. "We talked on the phone two days ago about a blue lacy puppy. I wasn't expecting to see you until after the appointment" I explain.

"So you're Alexandra? It's a pleasure to meet pleasure to meet you in person, though didn't expect you to be so beautiful. I'm glad my brother is away or he'd just flirt with you the whole time when you come over after this" Alice states. "Now you are here to see if you are pregnant?" she asks.

"That is correct, I have already experience two early pregnancy symptoms. But better safe then sorry" I tell her.

"Well then, I'll just take a blood sample and I'll have the results as soon as possible"  she tells me. "But it can take a few hours, so I'll have you do a home pregnancy test as well" she explains. "Did you want to come to my place to meet the puppy while we went for the blood test results?" she asks after taking the sample.

"Sure, but I was planning on getting the last things needed for the puppy" I explain.

"Don't worry we can give you somethings for him, now go take this test" she orders me. Nodding my head I take the box and head to the small bathroom in her office. Following the instructions I take the test then wait for five minutes. "Is it ready yet?" Alice asks knocking on the door.

"One minute remaining, can you look at it? I'm to nervous" I ask her. Alice enters he room and looks at the test. While I sat on the closed toilet seat waiting fir the verdict. "Well, want do they say?" I ask her, I had used all three tests in the box.

"All are positive, congratulations Alexandra" she states smiling.

"I'm pregnant?" I ask touching my flat stomach and she nods her head. "It worked, I'm going to have a baby" I say all emotional. "Thank you so much" I say shaking her hand.

"It'll still be a while before the blood tests come back, but these are the best home tests and are hardly ever wrong. I've asked a doctor testing the blood to call me when the results are ready. So we can leave now if you wish to see the puppy" she suggests. I agree and we leave the clinic with Crystal who drives following Alice to her house.

"Welcome to my home" Alice states as she opens the door for us. The house was a little bigger then mine and I could hear the dogs barking. "That's Lily and Max, the parents of the puppies" she explains as we enter the house. "Jane I'm home" she calls and a lady appeared who looked a little older then us.

"This is Alexandra, the lady I was telling you about that is interested in the last puppy" Alice states.

"Nice to meet you Jane, please call me Alexa and same goes to you Alice" I state while I shake Jane's hand.

"The puppy is in the playroom, follow me" Jane states and leads the three of us through the house. On the way Crystal introduced herself and I told her with Alice how we met. "So you are pregnant? Congratulations, you couldn't ask for a better Gynecologist" she tells me. "Here we are" she announces and opens the door for me.

I enter the room and the puppy comes straight to me barking happily as he wagged his tail. But he didn't jump just followed me to the couch. Once I sat down he jumped up beside me and lays his head next to my stomach whining lightly. "I've never seen him so calm" Alice states as I pat his head.

"It's clear that he has chosen his master" Jane states.

"How can he choose?" Crystal asks confused.

"I believe that it is out pets that choose us, not the other way around and he has chosen to be loyal to Alexa. He'll protect her and her future baby with his life. He'll only ever obey her commands now" Jane explains.

"I'll go get the paper work and supplies ready" Alice states leaving the room.

"I heard you are going on holiday, this should help with your expenses" I state giving Jane the money. "No take backs, I want you to have it and have a good holiday" I tell her when she tries to give it back. Alice comes back and explains the papers to me as I signed some of them. They then gave me the last things I needed for the puppy and a small list of supplies I still needed.

"Ready to go find out the blood test results?" Alice asks.

"Yes and can Buddy come with us?" I ask as I pat my new puppy.

"You decided to name him Buddy?" they ask and I nod my head.

"Well he seems to like it, don't you Buddy?" I ask and her barks lightly wagging his tail.

"Yeah he can come, but he'll have to be on his lead" Alice states. So I put his new collar on which has a tag on it. But I need it engraved before I move back to Canada. I clip the lead on and lead him to the car after letting him see his parents one last time. He and I sat in the back seat as Crystal drives us back to the clinic.

Once there we head straight to Alice's office and a nurse handed her a file on the way. "Well according to this you are indeed pregnant, about three or four weeks along. Everything seems normal" Alice states looking up from the file. "I'll write you a prescription for the pills you need to take and then give you a list of things you can't have while pregnant. Then we'll organize for one more appointment before you move to Canada" she explains.

Soon everything was done and I was on my way home with Crystal. We got my pills and the last things needed for Buddy on the way home. Including his tag engraved with his name my address and phone number. Buddy seemed to love his new home as he run around my front yard. Before I called him inside and feed him dinner then he fell asleep at the end of my bed. After getting into my pj's I joined him after wishing Crystal a good night.
