"No.....NO!" I drop to the floor and check her pulse. She was laying in the bathtub, wearing all of her clothes. The water had a sickly red tint to it....blood. She had a slight pulse, but it was quickly fading. "She-She's still alive..AMY. Stay with me. And someone, c-call an ambulance!" I stutter and pick her up, getting soaked in blood and water in the process. I sob as I carry her and realize how light she is, how frail she feels in my arms. The last thing I remember before it became a huge blur is Amy's eyes fluttering open slightly.
----------
The next thing I know, I'm in the hospital waiting room, hoping, praying, begging that Amy's alive. Kricken and Dul are sitting on either side of me.
"Wha..what just..happened.." I mumble. "'s all so blurry..."
"Must be, you really freaked out for a while there. Sobbing and shaking....like you were insane, almost." Dul replies.
"What happened." I repeat. I'm exhausted. Like I just had a panic attack...which is probably exactly what I did.
Kricken answers this time. "Amy's not dead. That's all we know at the moment."
I sigh happily and tears of relief come to my eyes.
"Just waiting to see her," Kricken adds. "Shouldn't be too long now...."
And as if on cue a nurse clears her throat to get our attention. "She's asleep, but if you'd like to see her, you're welcome to. Follow me." And follow her, we did.
I've never been so scared in my life, I don't think.
