I Have a crush on a convergent broadcaster major
What a pick!
And now I'm swooning over the fact I got his phone number down on paper
Guess It's a trick

During my stay at college station
I always made sure to nab a front row seat
And after a session with David Knight and his hilarious rantings
I'd notice you in the back rolling up your sleeves

I seen a ring on your finger and wondered "Is he no longer on the market?"
That would be a terrible blunder
Still, the boy in the front didn't answer first and I filled your quotes in permanent marker

I approached soon after and it was nice
All the talking and wryly sense of humor
I told you about my life
and you gave me some things to take back with me from the summer

How weak in the knees I became
It was a classic case of cuteness overload
You rolled out the red carpet for me
And still, the emails never were sent out of seize

"There's no need to be nervous"
It sticks only after I laugh
I can be quirky, and this is the best time not to be careful
Thank you for my aftermath

it's okay to tell me to take a deep breath
And back off if I'm coming on too strong
I won't hurt I got some healthy stealth
But I'm not going to play it safe, you'd be so wrong

Think about the switch
And the one time I shook your hand
I went to your college
And I ran into Marcela who said

She'd tell you about me
Is there anything worth remembering?
That's up to you to show
If yes, my humility might just go
