Shadowed ~discontinued~

Run.

I ran as fast as possible, the police, they came fast, I knew I couldn't outrun them, so I jumped behind a tree, it'd make too much noise if I jumped into the tree.
The police man came out... he stepped closer and closer... my heart beat faster and faster and faster...
until he stopped after looking at me,
but he WASNT looking at me, he didn't see me, he jumped into the tree and climbed back down and ran in another direction, thinking I hid behind the tree and ran when he didn't see.
"How didn't he see me..."
I got up, and felt a Jello like feeling, like I lied down in Jello and was getting up, and then I saw it.
the shadow of the tree stuck to my black body.
I was basically invisible.
I got up and the shadow peeled off, it was weird.
I looked before running to the one place nobody would think:

School.

I hid in my old school's cafeteria and in the shadow of a table, underneath it.
the cafeteria was clean, but that wasn't surprising, this is a really good school, clean and perfect.
I think I fell asleep because, Before I knew it, I was woken up by the bell. "The bell?" I said, "It's too early for lunch..."
the kids came into the room, got their lunches, and sat down.
Anne, Kathrine, Jamie, Naira, and Sam sat down at the table I hid under, and talked for quite a while.
"So, Anne... that Oliver in your class is CUUUUUTEE~"
"Oh, Sam, I don't have a crush on him, I don't GET crushes!"
"Well I do, and I think he needs a little someone like me in his life."
"Sam, seriously, you sound like a total dweeb."
Sam playfully pushed Anne.
I got the courage to get up from the table and sit down, I peeled the shadow off and sat down next to Anne.
"ANNE! WATCH OUT! A MONSTER!" Screamed Naira, "RUUUUN!!"
"Naira, that's stupid, monsters don't exist, it's probably just a-" she looked at me.
"What the hell?!! WHO ARE YOU?!!" Said Anne, trying not to make a scene, and succeeding, somehow.
"I-Its June... Don't you remember?"
"June wasn't a silhouette!"
"I-I know but I woke up last evening in my new room with my new parents, and I was like this, I... I t-tried to get it off, but I don't know what it is, my new parents weren't there so I waited and they came back in the morning and they c-called the police... I hid behind a tree and the shadow hid me because I have this power now, I can stick to a shadow and it'll hide me a-and-"
"June, I believe you, get ahold of yourself."
"I-I just-" I sobbed, "I wish I had somebody to live with..."
"Put my jacket on, you'll make everyone look."
I put Anne's jacket on, but it was turned black as soon as I put it on.
"Oh well, I have another, but dang, June that was cool!"
"C-cool...?"
"Yeah, super cool!" Anne said, "Anyways, I'll let you live with me."
"Won't your mom ask who I am?"
"Can't you tell her what you told me?"
"You're sure that's OK with you?"
"Wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it."
I gave her a big, sibling-like hug, it reminded me of when my brother was still here, I cried and she comforted me. "H-Heh, I'm such a cry-baby..." I said,
"I would cry too if my parents died and my new parents sent the police after me." Anne responded kindly.
"You're the best..."
"This is just what I do, June... this is just what I do..." she said, as she closed her eyes while hugging me, I lay my head down on her and fell asleep.
