*GRADUATION PARTY*

Toby's POV:

I look around for Spencer as more and more people begin to fill the Hastings house.  I can't seem to find her, and I want to get to her before that slimy, piece of trash, Wren does.  Why can't he just take a hint that Spencer is mine, and always will be?

Suddenly, my eyes meet a pair of warm, dark brown ones.  I smile to myself as I make my way over to Spencer.

"Hi Toby!" Spencer says with a huge grin on her face.

"Hi Spence, you were amazing up there on stage tonight.  It was one of the best speeches I've ever heard!"  I say before scooping her up in my arms and planting a sweet kiss on her soft lips.

Soon, people start gathering around Spencer after they realize she's here.  I get pushed out of the way as family members run up and bombard her with graduation gifts.  I realize that I will have my own time with her later and decide to go get some food.  In the dining room (where all the food is), I spot Wren talking on his phone in the office.  I can't quite hear what he's saying, since it's in a whisper, but whatever it's about, he doesn't want anyone to hear.

I set my plate of food down on the table and sneak over to the doorway, where Wren is still inside talking on his phone.  I put my ear up to the wall, just close enough to hear bits and pieces of his conversation.

"Yes... I understand... I know, it has to be tonight... yes, I know... it's going all accoring to plan..." is all I can get before I hear Wren pause.

"Wait, I think I hear someone coming.  I have to go," he says quickly before hanging up.

I speed-tip-toe back to the dining room to retrieve my plate, but to my luck, someone has already taken it.  "Darn," I say to myself.  I grap a new plate of food and make my way out into the living room where to my surprise, I see Mrs. Dilaurentis walk outside, look around, and then head into the barn. I walk outside, quietly put my head up to the window and peek in.  I see that Mr. Hastings is inside, and when Mrs. D. walks in, he seems to break into an argument with her.  Hmm, that's odd. The same thing happened earlier at the Graduation Ceremony.

I figure it's none of my business and head back inside where I meet up with Caleb.  We start talking about how both of our girlfriends just graduated from highschool and now they're heading off to college where they'll meet "new guys," as Caleb puts it.  I'm not worried, though, because I know Spencer feels the same way about me as I feel about her.

After what seems like hours of talking to Caleb, I look around and notice that I haven't seen Spencer in a while.  I say goodbye to Caleb and go look for Spencer.  I figure she's in her room and just can't take anymore talking for the day, so I walk upstairs, open the door, and find an empty room. No Spencer.  I walk downstairs to check the office.  No Spencer.  I walk into the bathroom, which is empty.  No Spencer.  At this point, I start to get worried and notify Mrs. Hastings.

"Oh hi Toby, are you enjoying yourself tonight?" Mrs. Hastings asks me with a bright smile.

"Well I was, until I realized that I haven't seen Spencer in a while.  I looked everywhere, but I can't find her," I tell her.

Her smile quickly turns to a frown as she rushes over to Mr. Hastings.  As she whispers in his ear, his smile fades as well.  He nods to Mrs. Hastings and walks over to Melissa.  I notice that Wren is not with her.

And that's when I start putting the pieces together.
