Chapter 11:

Matt's POV

I'm so stupid. Why did I have to drink. Why did I even take Nicole to the party in the first place. I'm just so stupid. If I didn't drink, or take her to the party she wouldn't be laying in a hospital bed right now unconscious.

I thought to myself. I sat there, in the hospital room with my head in my hands. It probably looks like I haven't showered in days. My hairs all crazy, I have bags under my eyes, and I'm just plain out miserable.

I walk over to the unconscious Nicole and gently take her hand and pull it towards my lips.

"I'm sorry baby. I know I'm so stupid and it should be me in a coma, not you. I hate myself so much right now." I say to the love of my life who lies there lifeless.

I can't stop thinking about what I did, I can never forgive myself. Tears start running down my cheeks when Abbey and Taylor walk into the hospital room with nothing but worried on their face.

"Matt!" Abbey says running up to me and giving me a hug.

"Guys!" I said with little excitement. "When did you guys get back?" I asked while I gave Taylor a hug.

"Like 45 minutes ago. We dropped off our stuff and came right here." Taylor said walking over to Nicole.

Abbey stands there next to Nicole's bed. Tears slowly fall down her cheeks. She buries her head into Taylor's chest while he wraps his arm around her trying to tell her everything will be okay.

"I'm so fucking stupid." I say pissed.

"Don't worry man, you didn't mean to." Taylor tries to reassure me. "You were both drunk." He continues.

I nod and Abbey asks "When do you think she'll wake up?" Her eyes were red and puffy from crying.

"The doctor said it could be anytime, days, weeks, even months." I say as worry fills her eyes.

"Where's Chloe?" Taylor asks trying to change the subject.

"No one knows. Her and Cam had a fight, then after that she left and no ones heard from her since." I reply.

"She can't even come see her best friend in the hospital?" Abbey asks annoyed and pissed. I shrug and we sit down.

"You guys can go back to the house and unpack if you want, I'll say with Nicole." I tell them and they nod. "Check on Cameron too. He hasn't really been the same since his fight with Chloe."

"We will, thanks Matt. We'll see you later okay?" Taylor says as we walk out to Taylor's Corvette.

Abbey's POV

"I sorta can't believe Chloe..." I say as we drive home.

"Same here." Taylor replies. The rest of the car ride is silent. Not even radio, we're too depressed about Nicole. All that runs through my mind is if she's gonna be okay, or if she's gonna wake up.

We get home and Cam's in his room like normal. Laying there with his head in his pillow and the tv on even though he isn't paying any attention to it.

"Hi Cam." I say standing in his door way.

"Abbey!?" He gets up and runs over to me and gives me the biggest hug lifting me up off the ground. "I've missed you so much. Everything's so depressing please don't leave again." He says laughing.

"Okay Cam." I giggle and while him and Taylor say their hellos.

"I know it's only 8:30, but I'm tired as hell. And my stomach really hurts." I tell the boys walking out of Cam's room and into mine and Taylor's. I grab some shorts and a tank top and go shower. It feels really good to be back home. When I get out of the shower Taylor's laying in bed shirtless. His hairs all messy and wet so she must've showered in the extra bathroom. I crawl into bed next to him and he pulls me closer. I rest my head in his chest and begin to drift to sleep.

"Taylor?" I ask looking up at him.

"Yes?" He replies.

"What are we going to do when summer ends? I mean I know you already do online schooling and I'll be starting this September... But I live in Florida, and you live in Indiana... I don't want to leave you." I sigh.

"Don't worry, babe. That won't happen. I promise... We'll figure something out. It's only July." Taylor says with sympathy. I nod and slowly drift off to sleep in Taylor's arms.

I wake up to my phone ringing. I look over and it's 3 in the morning. I groan and answer it.

"Hello?" I said sleepy.

"Ab, Nicole woke up." Matt says over the phone.

"What?! Really?! We'll be right over." I reply. I look over and Taylor's half awake half asleep.

"Come on tay." I say getting up and throwing on one of Tays comfy hoodies and putting my hair in a messy bun.

"What happened?" Taylor asks with his eyes still closed.

"Nicole woke up." I say as I walk into cam's room to wake him up. We all got up and went to the hospital in Tay's rover.

I run up to Nicole's hospital room to see her laying there, eyes half open, her hands in Matt's.

"Nicole! I missed you oh my gosh you're okay!" I say as my eyes start to water. I walk over and give her a huge hug.

"How how are you feeling Nicole?" Taylor asks giving her a hug.

"Alright I guess. I just wanna get out of here but my ribs hurt a lot." Nicole replies.

"I want you to come too. I have so much to tell you about!" I say giving her a look.

"So do I..." She says giving me the look back.

Then the doctor walks in and starts talking. "Ah, Nicole. Glad to see you're awake. I must say, the first 3 days are very crucial. You must not stress, and you must be cautious when you sleep, making sure someone can check on you. You have a few cuts and bruises but otherwise I think tomorrow you should be ready to go." She occasionally nods as the doctor talks some more and then he leaves.

"Did someone bring me clothes?" This stupid hospital gown is itchy she laughs.

"Right here." Cam says handing her a bag.

Nicole tries to get up but she has a hard time. "Let me help you." Matt says smiling leading her to the bathroom. Awe. That was cute.

"I feel like a huge weight is lifted off my shoulder know that I know she's okay." I say to the boys who agree. A few minutes later Nicole and Matt come out and she's in shorts and a shirt. We sit in her hospital room for a good hour just talking and laughing. Finally it's like 5am and we're all tired as hell.

"Matt, you can go home and go to bed, you've been here for like 3 days straight. I'll stay with Nicole. Gives us time to catch up." I say smiling.

"Are you sure?" Matt asks and I nod.

He starts to get up as well as Taylor and Cameron. Taylor gives me a quick kiss on the cheek and they leave. For the rest of the morning/night Nicole and I talk about anything and everything. She tells me everything that happened when I was gone and I told her everything that happened in the Bahamas. I was so glad to be back with my best friend. If only Chloe were here too...
