Today was a bad day.
Renae, a bartender who had been fired, quietly but angrily walked out to her car.
She didn't care as much as she thought she would've.
She enjoyed her job, showed up on time, cleaned up the bar afterwards, and even scrubbed the vomit filled toilets.
But because of a fight with a customer she was let go, "Whatever," she threw her winter coat into the back seat of her car and sat in the driver's seat before starting the engine which wouldn't start.
"Oh come on, come on," Renae mumbled turning the key multiple times, "Perfect FUCKING perfect."
She stayed in her car, mumbling and cursing to herself.
After she was done with her temper tantrum Renae called her roommate.
"Hello," her roommate spoke.
"Ember it's me, I need you to pick me up, " Renae slumped down in her seat as she watched the snow slowly fall.
"Why?" Ember asked which angered Renae more.
"My car won't work!" She shouted
She heard Ember laugh, "Calm down, I'll come get you in a few-"
"Get me now" Renae growled.
"Okay okay I'm leaving now, where are you? " Ember laughed.
"My job."
"Okay be there in a few," Ember answered hanging up.
Renae sighed looking at the time, 2:30.
She couldn't even think right now, Renae was so angry, she didn't know what she was gonna do now. She wasn't gonna move back with her parents and she definitely wasn't going back to school.
Renae closed her eyes for a second trying to think when her phone vibrated.
She thought it was Ember or maybe her brother Aaron.
She checked her phone to see a text message.
Unknown: Hi :)
Renae looked at the phone with confusion then rolled her eyes, it was obviously Aaron. He was always being a complete idiot, she was not about to deal with his crap not today.
She threw her phone in the passenger seat still waiting for Ember.
Her phone vibrated again but she ignored it closing her eyes again.
A few minutes later Renae was startled awake by a knock at her window.
She saw it was Ember waving, "Come on it's cold out here" Renae quickly got her stuff and got into Ember's car.
"Thanks for taking so long," Renae rolled her eyes as Ember pulled out of the parking lot.
"You can drop the attitude because I didn't have to come get you," Ember glared at her roommate before turning back to the road.
Renae continued to look out the window when her phone vibrated again .
Unknown : How are you?
Unknown: Wanna play a game?
Unknown: Yes or No
Unknown: Don't ignore me Renae... 😡
Renae glared at the her phone before throwing it into the back seat.
"Seriously what is wrong?" Ember asked.
