Ember raced down to the barn in her car with Richie, Kerri, and Danny.
"Em slow down!" Richie yelled at her, but she didn't listen. Ember wouldn't stop until she was there.
Once there she practically jumped out of the car racing towards barn.
"Ember wait!" Kerri ran after her, she caught up to her in no time just when Ember entered the barn.
"Guys wait up!" Richie called to them.
Ember and Kerri entered the barn quietly,"Haven, X" Ember whispered.
Kerri looked around the place hearing nothing but the wind, she really didn't want to be here. It was so frightening.
"Haven! Xavier!" Ember scanned the barn trying to look for her friends.
"Em-"
"Xavier!" She interrupted Danny who entered the barn with Richie.
Rich grabbed Ember's arm, he'd had enough,"There's no one here Em!" He yelled. "They're gone."
"They have to be here..they have to..." Ember said on the verge of tears.
"Um guys," Danny said holding a piece of paper. It was a note that he'd found on the ground, it said
4 down 5 to go :)
Ember looked at the note in anger, "This is all Kerri's fault, " she mumbled taking the note from him.
"My fault?!" Kerri turned to Ember.
"Yes your fault!" Ember screamed "If you hadn't -"
"Guys stop it, we can't blame each other!" Danny looked at the girls.
"Danny's right, that's what the killer wants, " Richie said. "I called Aaron, he's on his way back to the apartment."
Ember sighed, they were right fighting would get them nowhere. "Fine let's go."
It was silent on the way back to Ember's place, Ember was angry that she lost two more of her friends. Kerri was traumatized along with Danny, and Richie was silently accusing his friends, he was stuck on Renae's code "Plain Sight." It had to mean that one of his friends was the killer...right?
Once at her apartment they spotted Aaron standing by the door.
"Well? He asked them having a bad feeling.
"We couldn't save them," Danny sighed as Ember walked into the building.
"Damn it Em I'm sor-"
"Okay enough of this crap!" Ember startled everyone in the room. "Was it you Kerri?!"
"What?!" Kerri and Richie said in unison.
"No I was at work REMEMBER!" Kerri yelled.
"So you say, " Ember rolled her eyes.
"Okay enough!" Aaron stopped them."Why would she have killed Haven and X?"+
"Cause she doesn't pick Haven up then she just happens to go missing, is that not suspicious?!" Ember glared at Kerri.
"I couldn't get her because I was working late!" Kerri stood shaking a little.
"Wait? You only work late on the weekend," Richie said as everyone became silent.
"I was working a late shift for a friend," Kerri said but everyone remained silent. "I SWEAR!"
"Okay fine but someone had to have known where Haven was...where was she?" Danny looked at Ember.
She just shrugged, "She didn't tell me where."
"Interesting," Richie mumbled.
"What is?" Aaron raised an eyebrow.
"First she said she was going to class and she wasn't, then she said she was sick but she wasn't in her room-"
"And now she's dead, " Ember interrupted Richie, his theories and accusations were way off.
"Dude how could you think Haven is the killer?" Aaron asked.
Richie was about to say something but Aaron continued talking, "For one she doesn't have a motive, we're her friends. Two Haven is the nicest person we all know, her name is the definition of pure and all things lovely and last but not least SHE'S DEAD!"
Richie stayed quiet for a minute then he spoke up, "Who then? Renae's note had to mean something right?"
"Just because it did doesn't mean we can just come up with crazy assumptions, " Aaron said.
"Did anyone realize something strange?" Danny asked his friends.
Kerri rolled her eyes, she had enough of this crap it was driving her crazy, "Realize what Danny?"
"In 2016 seven of this kids taken, there are seven days in a week and those kids died in a week, " he explained.
"Okay but there are- were ten of us, there's no connection," Ember replied.
"Yeah but if you think about it, you guys had girls night last Sunday right?" Danny looked at the girls.
Kerri slowly nodded as did Ember.
"Renae died the next day which was Monday, then Noel died Tuesday. I think Laurie was supposed to die the same day as Noel but -
"She left the game, " Kerri finshed.
"So she had to be killed Wednesday...oh my god it's a pattern," Ember gasped.
It was silent for a few minutes when Kerri stood up breaking the silence. "Screw this!" She mumbled getting her stuff.
"Where are you going Kerri?" Aaron looked at her.
"Home. " she grabbed her bag.
"Kerri you can't just leave" Ember grabbed her arm.
"NO EMBER! YOU'RE ALL CRAZY!!" She shouted angrily.
"Being alone isn't the best-"
"SHUT IT RICH!" Kerri put her coat on. "I'm out." With that she left the apartment slamming the door behind her.
"Shit man..." Danny mumbled. "I'm gonna go, I need rest. "
"Fine why don't you all just fucking leave!" Ember glared.
"Em come on, this is a lot to take in, " Richie looked at her but she didn't care.
Ember wanted to catch this monster that was killing her friends, if they weren't with her then they were against her meaning they were suspects as well.
"Fuck this,"Aaron stood up. "Let's go."
Richie and Danny followed him out of the apartment leaving Ember alone in silence.
She stood up and went to her bedroom and slowly drifted off to sleep.
That night while Ember was asleep someone snuck into her room and stared at her.
They stood there for about a hour before pulling a note out of their pocket and placing it on her phone.
The person smirked at Ember before leaving her apartment without making a sound.
The next morning Ember was awakened by her alarm clock, she turned it off not wanting to go to class today.
She realized a piece of paper on her desk, opening it she froze realizing it was from the unknown number.

Ember looked at her phone for a message but she didn't get one.
