JOAN
I lay in my bed. Wide awake. Staring at the ceiling. I haven't been able to sleep much these past few weeks because my job refuses it. I'm the "coffee girl" for the cast and crew of the new Avengers movie and, though it doesn't seem like it, it requires a lot of patience and attention. And time. I'm there until the last employee leaves. Which usually isn't until really late.
I rolled over on my side to look at my clock. It read, 12:53 P.M. Closing my eyes, I envisioned the next days chores. Ordering breakfast, cleaning up breakfast, ordering lunch, cleaning up lunch. Only after lunch is over, I get a small break, which I usually spend watching the filming. Then I order dinner and clean up dinner.
Soon, I become unaware of my surroundings and my body becomes paralyzed. I drift into a deep slumber.

BRAAANGBRAAANGBRAAANG. My alarm clock screams at me until I crack open my dried eyed. Light pours in through my window and I sit up. I rub my eyes, clear my throat, and lean up against the backboard to my bed, knowing that I have to get ready if I want to be on set in time.
Slow moving, I throw my legs to the side of the bed and shuffle over to my dresser. I pull out a set of clothes to change in to and bring them, with a towel, to the bathroom. After showering and straightening my plain brown hair, I put on make-up. Not much. Just eye shadow, blush, and mascara will do for me.
I grab my keys, an apple, and my purse from my kitchen and step outside my apartment complex to go to my car. Soon, I will be taking orders from some of the most recognizable actors in the comic book-to-movie industry.
The silent car ride to set is soon over and I jump out, slamming the door, and walk over to a trailer that reads "Hemsworth." One of my only friends on set works as Chris Hemsworth's make-up artist, Emily.
"Hey, Jo!" She greets me as I let myself in.
"Hi." I throw my stuff in a chair that also supported her personal supplies.
"Chris isn't here yet so we have a few minutes before we actually have to get going. Geez, Jo!" She gasps, "The bags under your eyes!" I touch my lower eyelid, suddenly self-conscious of my appearance.
"Here," She grabs something from her make-up bag and starts towards me. After uncapping the object, she applies it to my face and rubs it around. "There," Emily sits back, satisfied with her work. Her long red hair whips around as she turns to place the object back where she got it. Emily is a few years older than me, and acted as my big sister. She showed me around the set and introduced me to most of the actors on my first day. Her flawless skin, button nose, and big eyes makes her quite attractive, something I attempt to perfect.
My thoughts are soon interrupted when the door opens. A man with blond hair, broad shoulders, and decent height steps in. Chris Hemsworth. Followed by an equally tall man, but with a lanky stature and chestnut hair. Tom Hiddleston. I draw in a soft breath, as I had not been alone with these people before.
"Hey!" Chris bellows.
"Hello ladies," Tom waves quietly at Emily and I.
"Hi." I mutter, to shy to say anything else. I get up and head for the newly opened door.
"Leaving so soon?" Chris inquires, "The party just got here!" I look back and see Emily roll her eyes. She orders him to sit so she can start on his make-up. Tom makes himself comfortable on a small couch at the back of the trailer and pulls out his phone, a soft light soon illuminates his face.
"Bye," Emily smiles at me.
"Good-bye, Jo," Chris and Tom say in unison.
I jump out of the room when I remembered I need their coffee orders, "Can I get you guys anything for breakfast?"
They look up, "No."
"I'm good, thanks."
Makes my life easier. I make rounds of the set, taking orders of every member of the movie, and writing them down.

After returning from picking up breakfast, and delivering it, I go to Chris' trailer again to be with Emily. Chris is nowhere to be found and Emily seems preoccupied, testing different shades of make-up on the back of her hand.
"I'm back," I pull her attention away from her hand. She looks up at me and smiles.
"They just left," She eyes the paper cup in my hand, and I pass the drink to her. "Thanks."
"Were they any trouble? I know sometimes they can be loud." They referring to Tom and Chris, practically conjoined at the hip. I notice Emily's mind is somewhere else, "You okay?"
"Yea, it's just... Never mind." She brushes it off but I pry her more.
"Come on. I know something's up. Tell me." She smiles at me mischievously. and looks down again, blushing.
"If I tell you, you must swear on your family's life that you won't tell anyone. Promise?"
"Cross my heart," I say, dragging an "x" across the left side of my chest. "Now, fill me in!" She pulls her knees to her chest and throws her face into her hands, only to sit upright again, slowly.
"Ugh! I've never told anyone before, but-"
"What?!" She's killing me here.
"It's Chris. I think I like him." Her voice slowly trails into a whisper and I can barely hear her last words.
"You WHAT?!"
