"It's Chris. I think I like him."..."You WHAT?!"

+~+~+

"No! You're being serious?"

"You cannot tell anyone! I haven't told anyone but you!"

"I promised didn't I?"

"Thank you!" Emily throws her arms around me and let's go, quickly grabbing my shoulders. "While you have some time, let's go watch the filming. I probably should be there anyway, but you can come too!"

"Cool, lets go." We step out of the trailer into the sunlight, and we walk over to the building where the filming takes place, Set 2.

Stepping in, cool air hits my face, and I'm greeted with bright green walls and floors, later to be animated my the computer nerds. The director hasn't noticed our arrival, but the actors have. They're filming the dialogue between Tony Stark and Loki, the infamous, "I have an army, we have a hulk" scene.

The director notices the actors are distracted and follows their gaze, finally seeing Emily and I's arrival.

"Cut!" He howls into his classic megaphone. Tom and Robert Downey Jr. relax and walk off set. Robert walks over to Emily and I after grabbing a water from the snack table.

"How did I do? Was I convincing?" He winks and sips his water. "I saw Chris earlier," he continues, "Beautiful job on his face make-up. You should've signed it." Emily rolls her eyes.

"I'm sure that would've gone over well with the director." He laughs and takes another sip of his water.

"Being awesome on set all the time is really tiring." He stretches his arms back. "Hey, Jo, how's the love life? Oh wait!" He laughs at his own joke and caps off his drink. "You know I'm just playing." He pushes my shoulder and stalks off, leaving Emily chuckling at my relationship status.

Emily stops and nudges me with her elbow. "Ooo! Jo look!" She nods over to the snack table, where I catch Tom and Robert having a conversation. Tom is smiling and his dimples cave in and he listens to Robert sew together a story.

"What? What am I looking at?" I whisper, turning away.

"Look!" She points again, and again I look, just in time to see Tom Hiddleston staring at me. He quickly looks away and back at Robert, avoiding eye contact. Without taking my eyes off him, I see him glance in our direction again. This time his cheeks fade pink, knowing I've caught him looking. He then excuses himself from his conversation and heads towards Emily and I, who are already making our way toward the crowd. We meet halfway. He appears flustered.

"Hello, Jo," He greets calmly. "Hello, Emily."

"Loki." Emily nods at his costume.

"Oh yes, this!" His face darkens and his voice deepens as he transforms into Loki, "I am Loki! Of Asgard. Burden with glorious purpose. KNEEL!" He growls. I grin at his playful attitude.

"Where's your boyfriend?" Emily teases him and his face flashes red. He instantly breaks character and his voice lightens.

"Excuse me?" He stutters.

A smirk traces her lips, "Chris you dumb! Didn't you guys just finish a scene with him? I need to touch up his make-up!" She raised her bag as if to make a point. Tom clears his throat and points her in the direction of where he last saw Chris. When she leaves, an awkward silence fills the space between me and Tom.

"We never actually get to talk to each other, you know?" He points out matter of factly.

"No, we don't. Maybe it's how busy we both are. I'm almost never directly on set. Always running around getting food for everyone."

"Your services need to be appreciated more. You work so hard going here and there, love."

"Aww, thanks!" The clock on the wall says 12:30 now. "Nice chatting with you, but I have to go get lunch. Want anything?"

He grins and his cheekbones protrude from his face, "Oh! Actually yes, can I have a soda and burger, if it's not too much trouble." He pulls at his costume and walks back towards set. I can hear him mutter to himself, "Ah, chaffy," referring to the uncomfortableness of his costume.

Wait. Was that a failed attempt at flirting? Did I completely miss it? Or am I just overthinking this and he's just being his usual polite self?

Oh well, I can't think now. Duty calls. I leave the building to get to my car to pick up lunch.

I return deliver food to everyone on set, including Tom.

I knock on his trailer, as he was not on set, and he opens up, wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and socks.

"I have your lunch." I hold out the prize and he accepts it.

"Thank-you, Jo!" He opens up the bag and reaches in for his sandwich. After pulling it out and unwrapping it, he takes a large bite. Unable to control himself, he finishes it off ravenously, me still standing in the doorway. "Goodness," his British accent flows, "Where are my manners?" He licks his thumb and forefinger before continuing, "I must've been quite peckish. Would you like to come in?" He steps aside to reveal a quite messy trailer. "It's quite a mess, my apologies."

I chuckle, "No thank you," I reply shaking my head. "And yes, you should probably clean that." I point into the small room.

"Well then," he begins to dismiss me, "I'll see you around then." He bends forward a bit and straightens again, closing the door after I wave to him.

I linger at the door for a minute, not knowing why. Realizing that I still stand at his door, I turn and march towards Chris, who's still in his wig and costume.

"Chris!" I call out as he turns away. Catching his attention, he turns in my direction, confused. I jog and wave my arm in the air before he finally sees me. "Where's Emily?" I ask.

He smiles, "Last I saw, she was leaving the Set 5 building. She was looking for you too."

"Thanks!" I jog toward Set 5 and spot Emily, speaking with Andrea, the hairdresser for Robert Downey Jr. I overhear some of their conversation.

"So if he meets with me at 4 o'clock, before they begin filming, he should be able to reach you in time for final touch ups." Andrea nods in agreement.

"Ok but what if-" Emily looks away in my direction and grins.

"Hey! I was just looking for ya!" she steps away and Andrea looks at me, a bit annoyed I interrupted, but happy nonetheless.

"Hi, Jo!" She meets me, "I'll talk to you about it later tonight!" Andrea walks back towards the building.

"Speaking of," Emily starts, "Can I borrow your car for, like, 3 hours? She and I are going out with a few other friends tonight and my car got booted. I would invite you, but..." Work? I answered silently.

"Yea, I know. Go ahead, about the car, but just make sure it's back before I need to leave."

She perks up, "Oh! Of course, yea. no problem! Thanks Jo!"

"Yea, no problem! Have you talked to Chris at all?" I have her the eyebrows teasingly.

"No! Shut up!" She jumps forward towards me, waving her hands in my face.

"You shoouuuld." I tease her. "Anyway, I'm gonna go now. Bye!" I wave her off and she waves back, heading off towards Chris.

Ok guys, how are you liking it so far? I'm open to suggestions and constructive criticism!
