Emily looks less than thrilled to see me, "Haven't you done enough Jo? What do you want?"

"I-I'm here to apologize." I lift up the brown bag of cookies. She shifts her gaze to meet the gift in my hand but doesn't say anything about it.

"Jo, you are really the last person I want to see right now."

"Emily please. I'm sorry. What I said was out of line and I should know better. You can't take back words, especially the hurtful ones. Emily you're my best friend in the world and I don't know where I'd be without you. I can't lose you over something as petty as a fight over a guy." I hang my head and, again, present the cookies. I can hear her sigh, a sign that she's softening up a bit.

"But what about Chris, Jo? How am I supposed to face him after that?"

"Well, if you let me in, we can talk about it together." I suggest. She smiles and steps aside to let me in.

As I make myself at home, Emily mentions the cookies, "So what's in the bag?"

"Cookies. Chocolate chip to be exact." I setthe bag on her counter and she hurries over to it.

"I thought I smelled something good." She holds up her prize,  "I'm starving! Haven't eaten anything all day." Emily clamps her mouth shut around a cookie. With her mouth full she mumbles, "Do you want the other one?"

"Nah, I just ate actually." I chuckle.

"Suit yourself." She shrugs and licks her fingers. "That cookie was really good."

"Uh, Emily? Chris? Or are we never to speak his name again?"

"Oh. Right"

"When does he next come in?"

"In about an hour. Ugh! I really don't want to see him right now."

"Relax. We can figure this out." I try to reassure her.

"I hope so! Or else it's gonna be really awkward."

"I think you should just be blunt with him. Tell him straight up, 'Chris, I like you.' It's that easy."

"Jo I don't know if I can do this..."

"I can wait here when you tell him if you want."

She did not like that, "Oh ho. No. Nonononono! The less people to hear, the better."

"Okay, if you're sure." I sit back and ponder other options to the situation. "Or you can pretend like nothing ever happened. Don't even have to mention it."

"Hm." Emily considers it, "Not bad. I'll think about it. So, where'd you get those coookies? They were amazing!" How do I explain this to her without her thinking that Tom and I are dating?

"It's, uh, well this little bakery downtown."

"Cool! How'd you find it?"

"I, uh, went with Tom for lunch. As friends, though. He said it was really good. And wasn't it?"

"Tom?"

"Emily, we're just friends. We haven't known each other long enough to date. Or even 'like-like' each other for that matter."

"If you say so." She doesn't push the topic.

We sit and talk for the longest time. Time seemed to slip through our lips as we chatted with each other. It seemed so easy to talk to Emily, she was like a sister.

"And as soon as I-" Her laughing stopped abruptly at the siund of a knock at the door. Emily's face drains of all color and I can see her swallow.

I lean in and whisper to her, "Now's your chance." I smile and get up, patting her shoulder. She stands too, and follows me to the door. I open it.

"Chris!" I exclaim.

"Hey there Jo! How are you?"

"I-I'm well thanks! I was just leaving." He steps over and I squeeze out the door and past the large man. Emily's figure takes up the doorway instead. "Bye guys!" I wave them off, and as soon as Chris steps in and the door closes, I take off running to Tom's trailer.

I pound furiously at his door. He opens it quickly and panicked, "Jo! Is everything alright?"

I squeal like a fangirl, "YES! Chris just walked into his trailer with Emily and she's gonna confess her feelings to him!" I stop suddenly. "I now realize how chick-flicky that sounds."

Tom chuckles and replies with, "Ehehehe! Jo, can I let you in on a little secret?"

This should be good, "Of course, anything. Shoot."

"Well, uhm, Chris really likes Emily too." I can't breathe. I'm so excited, nervous, worried, and excited all at the same time. How will she react? I squeal again and begin to jump around like a little girl.

"Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod!" Tom begins to jump around too, mimicking me. He pretends to be excited with the news.

"Ahh! Joan this is amazing!" I can't go on any longer. I'm laughing too much at Tom and how he's reacted to this news.

"I want to hear what they say!" As soon as I've come in, I've let myself out and made a beeline for Chris' trailer, Tom following close behind.

I find the metal room labled "Chris Hemsworth" and I lean against the door, listening in on what they're saying. Tom does the same, facing me.

"I don't hear anything." I whisper to him.

He's just as puzzled as I am, "Me either." He staightens up and I creak open the door silently. We both peer inside. We are both caught off gaurd by what we find. Both Chris and Emily, locked onto each other as if the world dependedon it. Emily on her tip-toes, reaching her lips to Chris', and her long arms clasped aroung his neck. Chris bent over to accomodate for his height, one hand rested on her hip, the other holding onto the small of her back. Chris was still in his Thor costume, making it kind of humorous for Tom and I.

I felt like a creep watching them make out. Tom already backed his head out and I followed, closing the door without a sound behind me. I turned and grinned like an idiot at Tom, too thrilled about Emily's new relationship with Chris Hemsworth. Tom, too, was excited about this.

"Who would've thought. Our two best friends finding love in each other's arms." Tom states. "Like a fairytale ending!"

"I know! I'm excited that Emily finally told him!"

"Why don't we race toward-" Too late. I'm already on my way back, flying as fast as my legs can carry me. Tom has already caught up in a few strides, due to his incredibly long legs, and soon we run side by side, racing each other towards his trailer.

Who would've thought. Tom Hiddleston and I racing with each other, past other actors trailers, to his own.
