We reach the loft door and Derek leans even more on my shoulder. I slide open the door and walk slowly into the loft.

"Der, you're not healing. I should take you to the hospital." I say scared for his life.

"No, no hospital." He breathes out.

"Always so damn stubborn, aren't you Hale?"

"Just help me get-" he then loses his weight and stops holding himself.

Not being able to hold the dead weight, I drop him.

"Shit, sorry," I say.

Sighing, I attempt to pick him up but opt for dragging him to the bed, figuring that would be better. I lay him horizontally across and leave his legs over the side. From there, I begin to lift up his shirt, revealing numerous claw marks. Derek's breathing is really heavy.

"How bad?" He manages to ask in a whisper.

"Der, it looks worse than anything you've ever gotten that I've ever seen... And you're bleeding black blood."

He doesn't respond. I look at his face and his eyes close shut.

"Der..."

I immediately get worried when he doesn't respond. I listen and hear his faint heartbeat, at least he's alive. Sighing in relief, I place my head on his chest, listening to the beat.

............................................................

As for the others, I leave voicemails telling them that Derek is alive, because apparently not a damn one can answer their phones.

I pace around the room, waiting for Derek to wake. Every few minutes I listen to make sure his heart is still beating.

While I gaze out the window, I hear heavy breathing. I turn to see Derek sitting up, trying to stand.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" I ask

"I have to find the others. They think I'm dead." Derek says

"I've called everyone. No one answered, so I left voicemails for them when they decide to pick the damn things up."

Derek only nods.

"Do you have any idea how bad you look? You're like one giant open wound. I'm not entirely sure you aren't really dead and I'm dreaming."

"You should go home"

"What's wrong with me helping you?" I ask Derek looks down as I speak.

Sighing, I walk over to him and kneel in front of him.

"I hope you start to heal, I know it takes time but I still thought it would be faster than this, mine usually are"
