It's now Saturday, I got an early morning call from Sheriff says ing Derek and Chris are being let out today. I get dressed in a light pink pleated cami slip dress, a maroon knitted cardigan, black converse, and my usual jewelry. I then head to the station. I see Derek and Chris waiting for Parrish to give them their stuff. Derek smiles at me and places a quick kiss on my lips.

"Nice to see you out of your cage" I tease, Derek glares a moment.

I go and stand between him and Chris as Parrish gives them their belongings.

Deputy Parrish pulls out a taser wand that belongs to Chris.

"Sorry, but I can't let you walk out with this." He says. "It's way above the legal limit."

"I only use it for hunting," Argent says

"I only use it for hunting," Argent says.

Derek and I give him a look.

"Ya, well I'm pretty sure you can use it to jump-start a 747."

"This property belongs to me and the charges were dropped...Although I'm not exactly sure who's responsible for that." Chris finishes, looking at Derek.

"I am." Sheriff says, coming into view. "I'll take care of this Parrish."

"Sheriff, I'm not kidding. This thing is a few watts from being a lightsaber."

Derek gives Chris another look while Chris tries to act casual.

"I said I'll take care of it." Sheriff repeats.

We follow him into his office and he stands behind his desk. The three of us listen to what he has to say.

"A specialist I saw in LA told me a thing that every doctor says when he's trying to avoid a lawsuit. We can't say for sure and then I spoke with Melissa." Go, Mom! "These are brain scans," he shows us. "My wife's and Stiles." He hands them to Chris. "I knew they were similar, but those are the same. Exactly the same."

Derek, who is to my left, speaks,

"I'm guessing this isn't possible."

"Not even remotely."

"The trickster is still playing tricks," Chris says.

"But why this trick," I ask.

"When I was in the army," Sheriff starts. "An officer told me 'If you wanna defeat your enemy, you don't take away their courage. You take away their hope'."

"You don't look like a man that gives up hope easily." Chris states.

"But Stiles might." I say, Sheriff and I share a look "that was one thing he was always afraid of, that he'd get it just like his mom did"
