Harmolus and Harmonia

Chapter 10

After being told about everything, Harmonia pauses for a long time. She was told about everything except the fact that the Ice Witch is Harmolus's mother and is still alive.

"I guess I owe you an apology for the whole misunderstanding.", says Harmonia.

"Well, I owe you too for the kissing accident.", replies Harmolus.

"Thank you anyway, for saving me numerous times when I switched to you.", adds Harmonia.

"The feeling is mutual.", says Harmolus.

"But, tell me, how can you defeats the ones I can't?", asks Harmonia.

"Well, most of the time they're already exhausted after fighting you but on the other hand, I haven't break a sweat. Some other time, I outsmart them.", answers Harmolus.

"How about my, I mean our last opponent, the Ice Witch? She's very strong and I don't think she's tired already at that time and she's smart too!", asks Harmonia again.

Harmolus is thinking, he can't just say that the Ice Witch is his mother which makes it more awkward than before so he lies to her, "I have some tricks on my own.".

"Oh yeah, you even can cast an ice technique without doing a lot of movements, let's do some sparring now and maybe you can teach me how to beat someone like her!", says Harmonia.

"Uh, now?! But, I'm not a fighter, I just finish off the enemies you fought and just tricks them.", says Harmolus.

"Well, he's right, you two have different fighting styles but still, a sparring won't be a bad idea.", interrupts the Master.

"But please, do it far from the town so you two won't do much of a damage like you did to my house.", says Jessie.

"Yeah, we will do it in the open plains nearby.", says Harmonia.

"I'll repair the damage that was done.", says Harmolus.

The three then walks into the plain where there's no people around that can get hurt.

"Alright, let's see what you can do.", Harmonia says.

"I'll only show you some.", Harmolus replies as he readies himself.

"Both of you ready? Fight!", shouts the Master.

Harmolus shoots a volley of arrows and dashes back afterwards. Harmonia dodges and parries them. She dashes forward giving a giant slash, but she is too slow for him that he can easily dodge it and counterattack. The arrows can't go through her armor, so instead of wasting more arrows he uses ice arrows. She then tries to do a triple slash but still she's too slow.

"A piece of advice, change your armor into something lighter.", he says.

Hearing that, she does what he told her. Now she's using an ice armor not as strong as iron but so much lighter. She even splits her giant sword into two swords.

"I might will regret that.", he says.

He then changes weapon from his bow to his daggers and strikes fast. She can't dodges them, but isn't hurt either.

"Just some scratches, how can you beat our enemies with those attacks?", asks her.

"You'll see.", answers him.

He keeps attacking her, not letting her do a thing about it. She tries to hit him with her swords but it seems that he focuses more on dodging her attacks than landing attacks on her.

"Is this your fighting style? It won't get you anywhere.", she says.

"At least I can defeat the ones you can't.", he says.

Hearing what he says she gets angry and strikes him without a lot of thinking and he strikes her as well. The battle goes on for a while until she's starting to get tired and when she's trying to catch her breath he strikes again and again and suddenly her armor breaks.

"What?! But how?!", she is shocked.

"I'm not as strong as you are, but I sure am smarter sometimes.", he says.

"That doesn't explain much.", she says.

"Well, let me keep it simple. I repeatedly attacked you at the same place over and over.", he explains.

She thinks about what he just said and remembers that he has been attacking her right in her front chest so that she thinks that he's hitting her head on.

"Mostly impressive.", says the Master, "my job here is done.".

The Master then spins around and turns into a vortex of ice shards and get blown by the wind.
