The next morning I woke up to the sound of honking. Ahh city noise. I rubbed my eyes and got up from the bench, I grabbed my phone and checked the time which read 8:47 "Shit! I'm late to school" I thought as I grabbed my bag and started running towards school. Halfway there I remembered that it was Saturday. Once I realized that I stopped running and started making my way to a book store.

As soon as I got to the book store I made my way to the history section, what? History is awesome! I wasn't looking for anything in particular until I found this book that caught my eye, the book title was "I, Eliza Hamilton" the book was only $15. I got my bag off of my back and checked to see how much money I had left, exactly $20 left. I grabbed my money and the book and made my way to the counter to pay for it. Once I paid for the book I made my way back to the bench I was at. I sat down and started reading, a few minutes later someone sat down next to me. I didn't think anything of it until the person tapped my shoulder. I looked up from my book only to see a man with a gun. "Give me your bag and you won't get hurt" he said "But I need this stuff!!" I said back, very frightened. "Do you think I care?! Give. Me. The. Fucking. Bag!" He yelled, I got my bag and gave it to him, he ran off after that. I started to cry. I thought I had nothing left until I remembered that Lin gave me his phone number! I quickly got my phone out and texted him.

(L= Lin, A= abby)

A- Lin, I'm sorry to bother you, but someone took my bag and all I have left is my phone and book. Please meet me at the bench we met at.

L- oh my god! I'm on my way! Be there in 5 minutes!

With that I turned my phone off, put it in my pocket, I started crying again. Not even 5 minutes later Lin arrived at the park. He looked around for me, once he spotted me he ran over to me and engulfed me in a hug. A few minutes later he spoke up "hey, you don't bother me...why don't we go and get some coffee?" I wiped my eyes and nodded my head. "Great!" He said. With that we were on our way to get coffee.
