Simon ran all the way from school to the alley way close to Josh's house. At first he couldn't see Josh anywhere but after searching closely he heard faint sobs coming from the side of an alley bin. It was Josh. He moved towards Josh quickly and crouched down to him, holding him close never wanting to let him go.
"Josh I'm here now, everything's okay, I promise, I'm sorry that this happened to you, it's all my fault I never should have let you walk home alone..." Simon was going on with himself because as soon as he saw Josh was was guilt stricken.
"Simon... C..Calm down, it's not your fault at all, this could have happened to anyone" Josh said leaving up and gently placing a kiss on Simons cheek "Lets go back to mine, I need to shower and get changed" Josh slowly pulled away from Simon and began to lift himself up. Simon did the same and placed his arm around Josh to support him on the way to Josh's house.
-Time skip to them both being at Josh's house-
Josh locked the door behind them as he always did and placed his bag in the kitchen. He noticed a note on the kitchen counter
Josh me and your dad have been called into work, we have had to go to Scotland for the week. Sorry we had to tell you through a note. We've sorted it with Simon's parents that he will be staying with you for the week whilst we are away. Stay safe and don't have to much fun :) There's money in the front room for any food or drink you'll both need. See you in a week. Love mum and dad 💚
"Well looks like your staying here for a week" Josh said to Simon whilst passing him the note
"Good, gives me a chance to look after you properly without your parents worrying about you" Simon said with a slight smirk.
Wonder what he's smirking about ? Josh thought to himself. He had an idea but he wouldn't voice it to Simon in case it made him nervous or unsettled.
The thing is, Josh was ready to take his and Simmons relationship to the next level, but he wasn't sure about how Simon felt about it. He was to scared to ask him because he didn't want to make Simon feel as though he needs to rush into anything. Josh was willing to wait, even until Simon made the first move. But josh might make some sort of move to show he was ready without actually saying it.
-Time skip to later that night when they're in Josh's bed cause I'm lazy-
Both boys where cuddled in bed, watching films, playing on their phones every now and again & making general chit chat between themselves.
"How're you feeling after today" Simon asked looking at Josh with a slightly worried look in his eyes. "I'm feeling a bit sore but it's okay, but I feel a lot better knowing you're here for the week" Josh smiled back at him. "Want me to find you some pain killers? It'll help you feel no pain at all" Simon was obviously worried regardless of how much Josh told him he wasn't hurting that much. "Actually, yeah please, there should be some next to the microwave in the kitchen" "Okay, I'll grab them, want anything else?" "You" Josh said with a wink causing Simon to blush an extremely dark shade of red. "Aww I made my baby blush" Josh cooked as Simons blush just got to an even darker shade of red, which he didn't think was possible.
-Time skip to Simon coming back from the kitchen cause I'm lazy AF-
Josh took the pain killers from Simon and swallowed them down followed by a swig of his Dr.Pepper. "Thanks... I hate swallowing pills" he states, placing the Dr.Pepper on his might stand. Simon smirks slightly, "I mean you can swallow something else if you want..." Josh knew exactly what he was applying. "Maybe one day babe" Josh retorted, winking at Simon causing him to flush slightly.
-Time skip cause am lazy AF-
After a while both Josh and Simon had found themselves cuddled up in Josh's bed, watching random YouTube videos. Eventually Simon realised that Josh had fallen asleep on him. He just sat there silently observing the sleeping figure that lay against his chest. Simon knew right there and then that he loved Josh. Yes they may have only been together a few months, but he couldn't picture spending his life with anyone else. He loved Josh. Checking the time he noted that it was 1:22am. They had the next couple of days off of school so he didn't need to worry about setting any alarms. After another 5 minutes, Simon decided on getting some sleep himself and turned off the TV. Leaning down, careful not to wake up Josh, he kissed his forehead gently and whispered a quiet "I love you Josh" and closed his eyes. Unbeknownst to Simon, Josh had heard what he had said and fell asleep with a smile etched into his face.
