-1 month later-
Simon and Josh had been together a month and were no longer hiding their relationship from anyone. Their friends and family were all very supportive and were happy that they where together. In school people would smile and aww at them, minus one group of lads. Most of the football team didn't support them at all. They hated the idea of them being together and that thought it unnatural that they where both guys and they where a couple.
Unbeknownst to Josh and Simon, today was going to be one of the worst day of their lives. The football team had a plan that no one else knew about. The captain of the football team, Jet, held the most hatred towards the pair and he had managed to convince the majority of the team that Josh and Simon being together was down right wrong and they needed to dk something about it.
-Jets POV (ohhhhh pov change 🤘🏼)-
Jet had come up with a plan. He knew that on Wednesdays Josh had to walk home alone as Simon had soccer practice. This would be when himself and the football team would get Josh. They'd make him pay for being the abomination he was (no hate towards anyone who's in the LGBT+ community, I'm in the community myself and this is solely for the story) and help him to realise that being gay was wrong. Luckily for Jet, but unlucky for Josh, today was in fact Wednesday and the plan would be going ahead and arranged.
Upon hearing the final bell the football team met at there usual spot and it just so happened to allow them to see Simon speaking to Josh and the rest of his friends for 5 minutes before heading off to practice. Of course it riled Jet up when he saw Simon quickly peck Josh on the lips and see Josh blushing like some 13 year old school girl. He couldn't wait for the plan to happen. After another 10 minutes or so, Jet noticed that everyone who stood with Josh was starting to disappear in their own direction towards their home, leaving Josh alone. He would let Josh walk for about 5 minutes to make sure he wouldn't see them following him.
After 5 minutes had passed and Josh was no where in sight, Jet and the team began heading in Josh's direction, some going ahead of others and taking shortcuts to make sure they could corner him in the alley he cuts through when he walks alone.
- Time skip to the alley- (POV change)
The team had cornered Josh, making it so he was unable to get away from them. "Oh look at the little fag too scared to protect himself" Jet tainted Josh as he pushed him against the alley wall. "Where's your little boyfriend at then? Doesn't care enough to make sure you get home alright" he said punching Josh in the face.
All Josh could do was grunt in pain. His anxiety was starting to get the better of him. All he could do was try and hold off having a panic attack whilst simultaneously trying to protect himself from Jet.
"Nothing to say? I thought a queer like you would want to try and convince me to stop..."
More punches came flying at Josh, which resulted in him being huddled over against the wall of the alley. The others that surrounded Josh along with Jet saw this as an opportunity to hit him whilst he was down. Kick after kick, and punch after punch flew at josh. He couldn't see because his vision had become hazey, he could taste the crimson, metallic taste of blood, as well as feeling it drip down his face. Josh knew his body would be battered and bruised. He was scared. What if they didn't stop attacking him until he was dead? After what seemed like an eternity, they stopped attacking him and just left without a word.
After about 10 minutes of them leaving, Josh found some strength to find his phone and ring Simon

Hey Josh, I've just finished training what's up?
I.. need you're help... been attacked... in a lot of pain...
Josh where are you!
Alley... near my house...
I'm on my way
Hurry...
And with that Simon hung up. Josh rested against the alley wall, phone in hand but having no strength to move. He was in an undeniable amount of pain. All he wanted was for Simon to get here and take him home. He wanted his boyfriend to love him and make him feel better.
