CHAPTER 1 OF 'IN JUST 25 DAYS'

"Kids I'm sorry but we have to move again" those four words 'have to move again' always haunted me. I have gotten used to it by now. It still sucks every time I hear those words. Moving means new school, new friends, new people,new house and especially new crushes.

"Where are we moving to this time" I asked crossing my arms. My sister, Maddie had no idea what it feels like to have to move every time you start school or leave in the middle of the school year. My mom looked to my dad and they both grinded. I raise an eyebrow at them.

"The big Apple." They yelled.

"Wait as in new York city" I said jumping up with hope in my eyes.

"Yes new York city" my mom said also standing up.

"Fine but you have to promise me this is our last move ever" I said. We have lived in every state on the coast. I love new York city because of the snow and Christmas. It's just wonderful.

"Fine we promise but you have twenty-five days to prove you love new York city and that you won't get in trouble" my dad stand up looking right at me making sure i knew he was serious. I gulped and nodded slowly. I always have a tendency to get in trouble in every school I go to. Not this time though. I promise I will prove to them I belong in new York and I don't want to move again.

"Deal?" He asked sticking his hand out to me. I grab his hand firm and look straight into his eyes.

"Deal" I said smiling and we shook hands.

"What just happened" maddie ask. I looked at him and smiled. I look up to her and look her in the eyes.

"What just happened is this is the last time we are moving" I said smirking.

"For real this time, because last time you said that and we had to move again" she said. I nodded. I look up at my parents to help me out. They also nod.

"No way"maddie got really happy. I smiled big. This is the frist time he actually happy about moving again. Can you blame the poor kid.

"Yes way, buba" I said. I used her nickname I gave it to her when I first learned to speak.

"I'm going to go and pack" she said looking at my parents. They shook their heads yes and he ran to his room. I stand up straight again.

"We leave next week" my mom said pulling me into a surprise hug. It took me a minute to hug her back this is the frist time I am happy to move. I hugged her back.

"I will get packing" I said we let go and I walked into my room. I sigh grabbing my phone from my back pocket and texting my friend from Texas. I still try to keep in contact with everyone I meet. Even if that's is a lot of people I have met. It's not my fault my parents make us move so much. Justin is the guy I uses to date but we split off because I was moving. That was four years ago and we still talk to each other.

To Justin: hey

From Justin: hey what's up hoe

To Justin: nothing much fboi except I'm moving again.

From Justin: seriously again

To Justin: yep again maybe this will be the last time for a while

From Justin: you know that's a lie

To Justin: a girl and dream you know.

From Justin: yeah how is Zane doing

From Justin: he can't wait to be the last move, hey listen I have a lot of packing to do so I will text you later

He didn't text back after that so I grab the stack of boxes that I had piled up in my closet and started putting my stuff in. I grab my MacBook and shoved it in the case before gently putting it away in the box. I can't believe we are moving once again. They promised us that the last time would be our last time moving. I get it, it's because of my dad job and sometimes I don't help but still they could have let us stay. I heard a knock at my door knocking me out of my day dream.

"Come in" I yelled towards the door. My door slowly opened up and maddie peaked her head in.

"Hi mz" she said. I smiled at her.

"Hey" I said looking at my picture of my family.

"At least this is our last move" she said walking to my bed.

"Yeah I'm happy about that" I said. We finish packing and we went to bed.
