CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 2 OF 'IN JUST 25 DAYS'

Today was the day I am moving across country. I took my last box down the stairs and out to the moving truck. I was not ready to move but the same time I am ready to move. We actually already got a house and everything in new York city. We are leaving all our furniture at our old house so who ever is moving can have it. I sigh looking at my old house.

"Mackenzie let's go" I heard my name being called. I look behind me. They were calling me from the car. I grab my dog and ran to the car.

"I can't wait to get there" I said smiling looking at the house before getting in the car.

We finally landed in the new York city airport. We had to get a taxi because we left our car back in California. We walked out to see snow falling from the sky. Me and maddie look like idiots in our shorts and tee-shirts. Yeah I know call us dumb but we didn't realize it snows on December the second ok. We drove through new York city to the Plaza Hotel, Fifth Avenue at 59th Street. My parents managed to get a room that we live in. Me and maddie beat my mom and dad to the hotel. We got inside and ask for our key. I walked to the elevator and hit the button.

"Mackenzie help" Maddie said carrying our suite cases. I ran over and help her. I struggle to carry them back over to the elevator.

"Do you need help" someone asked. I look up and it was a boy with brown hair and green eyes.

"If you could that would be great" I said to him. He smiled grabbing a suite case from me.

"So are you guys staying here for Christmas" he asked while we waited for the elevator to arrive.

" No actually we are moving in" I said looking at him.

"Oh cool I actually live here." He said looking back at me.

"Well I'm Mackenzie" I said and the elevator open up and we got in.

"Johnny" he said. He looked me over and smirked.

"You guys seriously wearing that" he laugh at our outfit choice.

"We came from California actually" maddie said. The elevator stopped on the seventh floor where we get off.

"What room number" he asked. I look at my rose gold iPhone x. I read the text message my mom sent me telling us our room number.

"49g" I said looking up and started to look for the numbers.

"I know exactly where that is it's right across from my room/ house" he said. He started running down the hallway. I looked at Maddie and she looked at me.

"Well are you coming" he said looking back at us still running. We shrugged and started running. We made it down the Hallway. He stopped and so did we. We tried to catch our breath.

"There is your hotel room and here is mine" he said pointing to the doors.

"Johnny what in he- hello" a girl about Johnny age with blonde hair open the door.

"Sorry Lauren I was showing our new neighbors where they live" Johnny said completely fine now.

"Oh my name is Lauren obviously" she said shaking our hand.

"Mackenzie" I said to her smiling.

"Hey Johnny dinner is done and mom wants you back in the house" Lauren said he nod and we said our goodbyes. They went into their house and maddie open ours. I walked in it was breath taking. It was all modern stuff with a giant window wall looking over new York city I walked over to the window to see a breath taking view of the city. I turned down the hall and saw our rooms. I walked in my room that had a Mack sign on the door. It was purple walls and a cream color carpet. I had a balcony and wall of Windows. I had a walk in closet. My king size bed was against the wall facing the fire place. I love this room. I looked out my Windows to see snow falling harder. I decided to go to bed since I have to go to school tomorrow sadly. I laid down in my soft bed and fell asleep.
