CHAPTER 12 OF 'IN JUST 25 DAYS'

Today was the party. I'm so not ready for it. I'm not a party girl. I looked at my phone to see some message. First it was my parents.
Mom: hey sweetie sorry we didn't say anything before but we had to go on a quick business trip.
I ignored it and went to another message.
Brynnieboo😜: hey me and Lauren also Annie are coming over to help you get ready around two.
Me: why the party is not until seven.
Brynnieboo😜: because it will take us longer to get ready.
I rolled my eyes just going whatever she said with.
~ two pm~
I heard a knock at the door. I got up and open the door. I got up and open it. There stood brynn Lauren and Annie. I greated them and we got to work.
"So kenz are you ready" Annie asked.
"No I'm not. I'm not a party girl" I said and they continue.
"What why not" brynn asked straighten her hair.
"Because bad things comes out of parties" I said grabbing my makeup.
"No they don't" Lauren said.
"We will see" I said shaking my head. I knew going to a party would have a major impact on my life and I will be right. I finish getting ready slipping into the dress I got earlier at the mall. I'm getting nervous by the minute. How can I be less nervous oh wait you can't be. Two days and I'm already going to a party. I walked into maddie room looking around it. I spotted a diamond necklace that she sometimes let me borrow.
"Hey Maddie can I borrow your necklace"I whisper even though I know she not even home this way if she ever finds out. I can say i asked her.
"Sure kenz, you are the best sister ever" I said mocking maddie voice. I grab it putting it on. I looked at the family photo that Maddie had hanging on her wall.
"Where in the hell are you Maddie" I ran my fingers over the photo. It was all of us on the last day in California. So three days ago. It was very recent.
