Emberly's POV

"Welcome home!" I looked at my brother and smiled laughing sarcastically, my mind was telling me to run or take it back and hug him but all I did was sit and stare at him.

He was going to rip my head off and feed it to the wolves. He just stood there, almost like a ticking time bomb ready to explode. He said nothing and revealed nothing in his facial expression. Alex stirred and I could feel his eyes on me. My brother exited slamming the door, making me jump.I sat there not sure what to do, I put my face in my hands and shut my eyes for a moment, trying to control the tears behind my eyes. I tried to contain the thoughts, he hadn't been home for a week and I welcomed him with that.

'Stupid, stupid!' I repeated in my head.

It felt like hours before anyone moved or did anything, Alex shifted closer on the couch and put his hand on my shoulder and I took a deep breath in, hardly able to let it out again. We just sat in complete silence, my head pounded with thoughts. I stood up and walked up to my room, trying to show no emotion, I opened my door and slammed it shut with all the force and anger I had. It was almost reliving, I slumped down on the back of the door and pulled my knees close to my chest. I ripped out my phone and dialed Amy's number, she picked up after the first ring.

"Amy can you come over, please hurry up." I told her, I needed some sort of closure and I didn't think talking to Alex was what was going to work right now.

"I'm on my way be there in two." I hung up the phone, my anger building again.

"What a dick!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, my throat hurting afterwards.

I didn't care who heard me Cole deserved the tittle, leaving me for a week and coming back randomly. I can't believe I said that to him, I basically scarred him away.

"I'm so stupid!" I yelled at myself, I started to argue back and forth with myself. Sitting in the middle of my room, pulling out strands of my hair.

The door opened and Amy smiled with sympathy, I sighed and stood up, hugging her tight. Her long arms wrapped around me and I put my head into her shoulder.

"Amy I'm such a bitch, I has eating pizza with the kid who punched my brother out" I mumbled in her shoulder, she pulled back from the hug.

"Ember, you have feelings! You can't just avoid them and he hasn't been home for days. We are skipping tomorrow and I'm staying here, we are going to binge Netfix and scream at the top of our lungs."She grabbed my shoulders and imeditly put a smile on my face. Even though I didn't want to she practically made me. I smiled devilishly.

" You agreed but were gonna have to sleep on the floor." I looked at the air mattress that had a hole in it.

"Fine as long as I get the slice of pizza downstairs!" She raced out my room and I followed quickly, Alex was still sitting downstairs. A worried look planted on his face.

"Amy I swe-" I stopped in my tracks when Alex looked at me. I narrowed my eyes at Amy, she dragged me downstairs.

" Are you ok?" Alex asked, his deep voice swooning me every time. I couldn't help it he was so dreamy.

"I'm fine." I told him flatly, continuing to walk down the stairs, slower this time.

He mumbled something under his breath and smiled, not one of his cocky smirks this was different. I couldn't help but notice the littlest things, someone's facial expressions changing or there voice.

"Thank you for the pizza and stuff." I mumbled, flashing a small smile. Hardly noticeable but I was pretty sure it was there.

He nodded "Anytime Cutie." He told me and I rolled my eyes. I hated the nickname but was used to it now. He stood up and walked out, shutting the door gently.
